PS4 holding solidly at 20k. Its still got many trumpcards to play to stay competitive against 3DS (price cuts, unreleased games, VR, Neo) and it just passed 3 million in Japan. Its not doing bad at all and has a promising future on Japan.

Yeah, not too good for Yokai Watch 3 unfortunately. Even with two days less tracking (Saturday release instead of Thursday, like YW2 was), its still sold noticeably less in the 2nd week compared to YW2. The overall number is still quite high though, will easily be a million seller, which on its own is a quite good figure.

Yokai Watch 3 is suffering from pretty big drops. No wonder Level 5 is going hard on mobile with the franchise, with the fuckton of spin-offs coming up in less than a year.

Ys VIII has a similar opening as Celceta, probably a bit higher with mobile. Seems fine.

Happy to see Ys VIII hasn't decreased from Celceta, though with a numbered title and a larger user base you could have hoped for some growth. There will be additional sales from the PS4 though. Tokyo Xanadu eX+ sales will probably give us a hint about the kind of potential here.

Shame. Splatoon and Mario Maker put in overtime and Minecraft just clocked in. I'm sure Nintendo's not losing any sleep over it though.

Cool how strong PS4 sticks to that 20k with little in the way of console movers. Looking forward to seeing how new hardware and anticipated software affect things.

Ya, true. I was just trying to think back on how RPGs are generally expected to move and for some reason I have ~80% or more as the general expectation if you expect it to move its first shipment.

But with the reference to Celceta, you are probably right unless its closer to ~60.
