In Japan, usually they'll release a cheaper version of a game. and call it something like [New Price Edition] or [Value Edition]. It's essentially an official price cut (stores may cut the price themselves to sell a title, but in that case they're losing money. With a new price edition, they likely got the game for cheaper from the publisher as well).

Along with what was said before about it being a cheaper version, this is the newer version of Judgement with the original actor that was arrested for drugs removed and replaced. The game hadn’t been on sale here officially (although could be found at any used store) since the controversy but now this version brings it back for sale.

Yeah it pretty much is. Plus it would be the right time to put out the lower priced version as well. Funny thing is I’m almost every case the used copies of the game are far cheaper than the new price versions. This however is an exception, as the original version usually goes for full price or higher at used stores due to the controversy.

I’m just glad they didn’t patch him out of the original game or the trophies. That would’ve sucked.
