Welp, 2 million will have to wait for YW2 according to MC. Famitsu had it a bit lower last week but it might be able to make it there too.

It seems Yokai Watch is seriously helping 3DS now: it's been around 40,000 (over 40,000 for Famitsu) for some time now.

Solid jumps from Wii U and PS4. With the popular Xbox One system on the way as well, it looks like the next generation party is getting in full swing in Japan.

Every system us selling less today than it would have 7 years ago, it's a different market - don't quite get your point. 3DS,Vita,WiiU,PS4 and Xbox One will all sell less than their predecessors in Japan.

Though I think it should be indicated as -0%, since it still was a drop.

Yoshi's drop is quite soft, isn't it? It at least has a good chance of selling through its initial shipment, though I'd hope it could reach 500k ltd, because a drop of more than 50% over the predecessor is really sad :(.

@sasuke: He was not talking about the PS3 7 years ago, but the PS3 last year.

I dont understand how anyone could say that still?

Been this way for many, many weeks now.

2014 is a wash for Japan and the PS4. There might be some spikes here and there. 2015 is going to be much better though as the games slowly begin to trickle in. Late 2015 into 2016 is the best bet for the system to begin making headway in Japan. Until then, expect 5-9K to be the average each week.

Glad that Wii U is stable and above 9k.

Then again, the Famitsu tracker probably shows a different story.

They won't be able to resist much longer, I tell you.

YW2 really got the potential to reach 3m total, and to reach 3m before the end of the year, it needs to sell at least 48k/week until week 52. It will all depends on the holiday sales, I guess. Safer bet would be Q1 2015.

What are the comg numbers for Hyrule Warriors. I know they don't mean that much but they usually predict a big flop for a game like that.
