Is PS4 lower than usual because of Sony stopping shipments (that was said to have been happening in the last two threads)? Or is it too soon for that to have any effect?

That sounds like a normal fluctuation, but it could be related to shipments too.

Edit: HOLY CRAP ! Dat Dynasty Warriors SRPG game... did it released on PSV and PS3 the same week ? Or it didn't charted at all ? oO

Etrian Odyssey V debut seems in line with previous entries, if I'm not mistake.

DBF debut seems pretty good. Curious to see if it's going to have any sort of legs like Dragon Ball Heroes.

Also: 3DS at 21 million units.

That is a veeeeeeeeeeeeery bad week, even if holidays started there aren't any kind of boost. Not only that, but also many drop...

Well, not the great week I was hoping for. Etrian did very well, let me get out of the way.

Dragon Ball did... alright I think? Hard to tell.

But everything else is terrible. Moero Pirates really bombed. As did Dynasty Warriors (look at that sellthrough on the Vita & PS3 versions, terrible). Puzzles & Dragons and Toukiden showing no legs. And whatever that 3DS game is that I don't recognise is overshipped.

Hardware is barely any better too.

I tried out the etrian demo on the eshop, this game is extremely lazy in presentation. Character creator/class select is a joke as are the battle animations and world map. There seemed to be some depth in the gameplay with all the various systems but it is seriously let down by everything else.

I know it's become kind of a running joke here, but digital sales should be taken into account for once (especially since it was the best-seller on the Nintendo eShop last week, as I posted yesterday).

Etrian Odyssey IV didn't have a digital version at launch (came out later), so EOV actually opened higher than EOIV.

EO did well, everything else on the other hand...People are possible tired of DW spinoffs and want a new game in the series mainline? Or just tired of the series in general?

Aw, thought that Etrian would do 100k. Hopefully legs and digital will be ok.

Disappointing week for every hw outside 3ds too.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
Solid EOV sales, Dragon Ball did better than expected - not bad.

Only -53% down for Ys on the 2nd week is not bad at all, I think. If memory serves, Celceta wasn't even able to figure on the top 20 on its 2nd week, and the cut off was somewhere around 5k at that time, so that's pretty good.

I'm very happy for Falcom, as Ys VIII deserves to sell more and more. It's probably their most ambitious title to date and it's awesome that they went and did something like that for Ys, instead of Kiseki.

EDIT: Ops, that's the 3rd week? Even better that it's still charting and pulling in 6k, lol. I've been too busy with the actual game and work and I've now lost track of time.

I'm very happy for Falcom, as Ys VIII deserves to sell more and more. It's probably their most ambitious title to date and it's awesome that they went and did something like that for Ys, instead of Kiseki.

It's Ys 3rd week, not second. Second week had a -68% drop compared to its first.

Summer holiday isn't a period when you receive money. Summer holidays is a period where kids have time (but understand that you can have time but can't have money).

Software that is much more cheaper is the main of summer holidays. Just take a look, Kirby and Pokemon keeps increasing. Also Mario & Sonic and Splatoon. This one had a huge increase this week. I guess that there was some kind of mistake and this week Media Create adjusted their numbers.

Next week is Obon, so increases should be better.

I was hoping for a bit more with EOV, but I'm sure coupled with digital it came real close to 100k. Let's see how it holds now.

Barring the unfortunate sales of Untold 2, the franchise has been incredibly stable.

in such a terrible climate and given how atlus started to milk the series a little too quickly with the remakes, I think EOV doing those numbers is amazing.

it means that all those 90k~100k EO fans are still on board, that's great news for the series

Watch out for the next CH DRPG (that's not MeiQ), now that Coven managed to move over 50k copies in Japan in a month or so.

And yeah, definitely looks like a PS4 shortage. I guess PS4 Slim really is happening. I can't see Sony having Neo as the only model.

Seriously, what happened to yokai watch? I remember yw2 selling over a million first week and that was only 2 years ago.


I feel something drastic happened that turned people off. I've never seen a franchise that was so popular fall this quickly in popularity.
