Both of them. Ridiculous.

In Japan at least, they seem to have established the 3DS as an environment in which third parties can make money. That's one important step done and dusted; they can hopefully now afford to focus their efforts on the Wii U for the most part.

Great to see RF4 still churning away at the low end of the chart. Marvelous must be ecstatic.

13./19. [3DS] Monster Hunter 3G # <ACT> (Capcom) {2011.12.10} (¥5.800) - 9.346 / 1.526.313 (+30%)

It'll never stop! [EDIT: Media Create not quite as positive on this]

Does Pokemon usually have this sort of legs? I thought it was another game that sold massive then fell away. Its selling on par with what we saw Monster Hunter/Mario going along with.

PSV is seeming more positive outlook wise. Not because its selling well, but that since Persona 4 came out, its not been in those dreadful 6k numbers again. Maybe it can struggle along at that price if the games do come?

3DS figures remain amazing. What was the Lite doing at this stage? We've maybe been a bit too quick to claim the 3DS will fall behind tracking the DS due to the lite. XL seems to have really boosted things.

07./05. [3DS] Tousouchuu: Shijou Saikyou no Hunter-Tachi Kara Nigekire! <ACT> (Bandai Namco Games) {2012.07.05} (¥5.040) - 16.813 / 92.056 (-34%)
09./13. [3DS] Kobitodzukan: Kobito Kansatsu Set <ETC> (Nippon Columbia) {2012.07.26} (¥5.040) - 12.483 / 62.063 (+11%)

Both of them. Ridiculous.

No this is ridiculous:

17./21. [3DS] Little Battlers eXperience: Explosive Boost <RPG> (Level 5) {2012.07.05} (¥4.400) - 7.935 / 114.565

Great result for Level-5.

Pokemon is all about legs. Black & White had better legs than MHP3.

From the other thread, DS +lite got to 7 million around week 72 (had two holiday seasons) while 3DS+XL hit 7 million around week 77 with only one holiday season.

Good to see the Nintendo numbers jump a bit in the M-create numbers :). I'm interested in seeing the top 50 place holders for them in the next couple of days.

Nintendomination again.

Hopefully they'll be able to establish the same environment they have for the 3DS on the Wii U. But I'm kiiiiind of fearful of it.

Let's hope so. But is it possible to just drag on with sales like this with no guarantee if games do come in the future? I doubt it. It would be way more wise for Sony to act now then to just wait and see like they have done the past couple of months.

Interesting how 3DS sold almost exactly the same number as last year.

yeah, this (and the previous) were the price-cut weeks.
big difference is the software: if you look at the last year charts, it was clear why (price apart) 3ds was performing way worst.

Not quite Nintendomination (imo) when the Wii sales are in the toilet, but 3DS is doing really well. Amazing what a turn around its had since late last year.

There's Miku next week which will pull up hardware. However, the fall lineup isn't exactly great for the Japanese market. Maybe they'll show off some stuff at TGS.

There are 2 problems when I'm late:

My super slow old PC ran out of RAM and/or some Japanese names of new releases don't match and have to correct them.

A tip for that (don't know if you already do that): eliminate the white spaces between words when doing the comparison. It reduced a significant part of my failed matches. You could also go a step further and eliminate other non-letter characters (such as "～") -- haven't tried that yet.

I think that the "nintendomination" was related to the software charts. top ten all nintendo for both MC and Famitsu, and for Famitsu 23/30 titles are for Nintendo platforms (also a lot of Wii software)
Plus, these past weeks (this one included) Wii's HW numbers were way better than normal :D and they are very similar to the PS3 ones also this week (especially for MC)

I've done the space trick from the beginning. Usually I have problem when a tracker decides to use the english name and I have the Japanese and the opposite, but 90% there is complete match.

beginning to be impressed by the legs that 3DS software seem to be developing in Japan, particularly for 3rd parties
previously thought that the 3DS 8m vs Vita 1m race was a joke, but now not so sure ... Miku should put that one to bed next week though

Every system got a boost except for Wii and 360.

Actually, for Famitsu also the 3ds is slightly lower.
The past few weeks were "doped" for 3ds and wii due to the 3dsLL/mario/DQX sw and hw bundles.
This is the reason we don't see great bump this week, also because Obon is not as big as the Golden Week as someone was expecting (but was clear looking at the previous years' charts)
