Despite lackluster software sales, 3DS sales are hanging on. I'd love to see used game sales figures. (Yes I know they don't exist...)

I don´t find these 3DS-numbers that good. Sales numbers are still in free-fall. 40k is like the lowest base line for constant sales and I wonder if 3DS can keep it up that high.

Also, I *really* hope MH3 HD doesn´t sell anywhere near a million. There´d be too many, too stupid topics to be had, otherwise.

3DS sales dropped by an other 40%. Starting from next week we should get an idea about where sales are going to settle. I suppose around 40k weekly, anything less would be disappointing.
PS3 is doing well, it's the only healthy home console in Japan atm. And Capcom will be pleased with the extra sales they got from their old game thanks to the emulator Sony provided them LOL.
Square Enix is so going to follow suit, greedy as they are to sell their old stuff again and again, Birth By Sleep here I come :D

Good on Imageepoch. It's a great game.

...and i do believe yes, that number for MH3PHD far surpasses most GAFstimates.

So I went back and looked at the sales for all of Image Epoch games and BRS has the best first week out of all the games they had released. lol they must be happy at Epoch now.

games in top30 + games outside the top30 + used games + ds games played on 3ds (kirby may be one of those)
I do think someone bought 3ds waiting for more interesting releases.

Maybe people are just buying the 3DS now due to price drop hype but aren't interested in most games until the larger fall mario kart/mario 3d land. *shrug* Hardware numbers haven't stabilized either, maybe it will plummet further to match the lack of software.

I am really surprised by the high sales, considering its the same game (and other then the necessity of the additional analog stick, Monster Hunter seems much more suited to the PSP than the PS3).

Let's get Agito on the PS3 now. :D

Good MH and 3DS numbers!

And from the other thread... Monster Hunter G was an outdated game, released four months before Tri, had online fee to play online, and only playable with Classic Controller. People had the chance to play Tri at Tokyo Game Show.

Funny port.

If MHP3HD sells more than 1 million copies, it means that it would have sold more than MH3. I guess that is what hes referring to at least.

I don´t think so. The way he/she put it makes it seem like the thread about MH PS360 would do well in the west and better than the WII becoming true. Which is unacceptable to him/her.

Probably, I personally just bought a 3DS without any 3DS software. I'll just play regular DS games on it for a while and consider it an investment in the future or something. :lol

It is doing ok, better than the others, but it looks like it's definitely going to end 2011 down year over year, despite the price drop. And how many more price drops does Sony have in them? One to 199, one to 149 late in life maybe?

The point is Japanese companies to me seem very sensitive to whats going on in their homeland, and I wonder if Sony is beginning to perceive the generation winding down with no way to stop it...

In other words PS4 here I come lol.

What was MH Tri's 1st week? I'm sure it was higher, but was it much higher? Kinda surprised they didn't port tri but instead MHP3. They could've just upped the resolution and make it Move compatible and be done with it. Exclusivity deal with Nintendo?
