Kirby's Adventures will sell a lot in my opinion.
Anyway, I wanted to say that 500k is more than a spin-off as Mass Attack but less than a classic Kirby :)

I think the biggest news this week is the drop in OG DS sales. It's a pretty clear indication that Japan is finally allowing 3DS to take the reins from its predecessor. Nintendo has had trouble killing off the DS and I think this is an indicator that the price cut is a huge step in the right direction.

Unfortunately, a list of killer software has to follow in the coming months, or it will never be able to fully recover.

This one was time in with the release of anime, we are seeing this all over the board now, black rock shooter, stiens gate, anime tie-ins are doing really really well.

I saw PSP had great numbers for some tie-in (Toriko Gourmey, My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute, and so on) but the last episode of this Broccoli game was released in Feb and sold just 7k copies. Is it a some sort of dating-sim targeted for girls?

It's an otomoe game, they are selling relatively well recently, not really sure why.

Got it.
I was thinking that DS has a very big female audience (see TokiMemo Girl's Side how well they sold) but maybe games like Tales of and AKB48 bring this kind of video gamers also on PSP.

Looking forward to seeing Nature 3D! :D

Probably, but it will be in a much better position to sell well when the big games do release. I don't think they had to drop the price quite so early though, but maybe they were worried about losing third party support if they didn't act quickly.

I wasn't expecting Just Dance to do very well in Japan at all, but maybe now it has a chance to do ok. Will be interesting to see the sales.

If anyone sees the UK charts in Famitsu please post them in the PAL Charts thread.

Nintendo is still sticking to its "1 game per month" strategy on 3DS, only the title for Sep is the weakest ever......

Given Mario 3D Land on Nov and Mario Katy 7 on Dec, the Oct title should be Kid Ircaus? I wonder still no 3DS title with online play from Nintendo side... Something big to come? But I won't get my hope up.

Also, AKB in Just Dance, it may now become another million seller XD

September is going to be slow for the 3DS, and then the rise to heaven should start in October.

Should be fun to see. And the Wii surprisingly has an ok September and great end of the year, as always.

It will, but it is quite amazing that both Mario Kart will probably be the first online first-party title for DS/3DS, esp we have several 3DS titles with network play already.

Kid Icarus Uprising was slated for "Holiday" (November to January) in both Japan and the US.
It's looking like January's the earliest it'll be available anywhere.

The otome audience in general has more in common with the nerd audience than either has with blue ocean; a lot of them probably bought Gihren too, and I guarantee you that all of them who own a PS3 bought MH HD. The big splits are just around hardcore action games (a genre which only includes Bayonetta anymore anyway, RIP NG DMC) and which exact variety of fetish fuel they want their datesims to feature.

Supposedly SCEA is being a dick to Capcom because they didn't bring the PSP version over. Which IMO is completely fair of SCEA.
