It was a holiday week, though. It would have been normal for it to drop a little less than a usual second week drop, especially for a kids oriented franchise.

As much as I love how Nintendo can be rewarded for their efforts with "bread and butter" games like Mario Kart 8, it's nice that a new potential franchise can rise up as well. Bodes well for the future. Hopefully Nintendo takes notes and finds ways to keep their releases "fresh" with a mix of new and familiar.

Wonder where the other 45k copies of Utawarerumono went. Some shipped, absolutely, but digital must be doing alright as well.

Slight underperformance from Moero Crystal compared to Chronicle, bet it's still making loads of money for CH though.

Witch & Hundred Knight kinda underperformed, although I dunno really. They're pushing the series on PS4, doesn't look great for a port, but I guess it was more for the west anyway.

It was a holiday week, though. It would have been normal for it to drop a little less than a usual second week drop, especially for a kids oriented franchise.

Don't forget, Pokémon may be a "kids orientated franchise" (which I take exception to and could write an essay on how wrong you are), but this is still a Mystery Dungeon game. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games are the best selling of them and they are not for everyone.

This is on par with how the previous ones did, except the first ones.
