I mean no ones responded to this threads, but there's a lot of info here to dig through:

1. On both charts the Xbox One X is closing in on 1/5th the Xbox One's LTD, and the X has consistently been outselling the base model since launch outside 2 month if not mistaken.

2. The Xbox One X has sold over 13,000 faster than the base model ever did in any period and that includes the S with the only exception being launch.

3. Wii U games continue to do better on the Switch than Wii U. Despite Japan being the one country the Wii U did really well in.

4. Ace Combat likely already sold most of its LTD up front since it got an near 90% drop this well, ouch.

5. Tales of Vespria is doing poorly despite Tales generally dong well in the region. Even with remakes and enhanced editons.

6. PUBG is a flop.

7. PSVR is a non-starter in japan.

8. Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon 2 are still top charting items and don't seem to be dying off. But Zeldas on the dive.

Some replies here
1/2 - XB1X sold for a bit as a crypto mining rig in JP if I'm not mistaken. Seems right though, although the XB1 numbers are still really bad sadly
and basically nobody stocks it anymore in JP.
3. Wii U did horribly in Japan too, not sure where you're getting that. Wii U sold 3.3M hardware and the only signs of life it had was thanks to Splatoon in 2015. It sold like 880K that year (which is still pretty bad... Splatoon selling 1.5M in JP on such a dead console and as a new IP was fantastic though).
4. PS4 games apart from minecraft, gtaV and nier showing some legs, have never really showed much legs.... Ace Combat 7 had a great opening week though!
5. Switch version is sold out and Bamco doesn't seem to care to restock it sadly... but yeh sales are ok. It's close Tales of Symphonia HD on PS3 iirc.
6. Isn't PUBG generally a digital game? Fortnite retail is only doing slightly better (like 17K on Switch?). Doubt its physical sales matter much. <60-80%> is ok so far if it sells a bit more.
8. Zelda is actually holding really well too, not sure about why you think it's dropping more than MK8DX and Splatoon 2. BoTW has already outsold every Zelda game in JP except Zelda 1/2 (1.6 M on NES) .

KH3 opened pretty well, better than 1 and BBS, but a bit worse than KH2.
RE2R opened a bit better than RE7 at least.

Kingdom Hearts, Resident Evil 2, Ace Combat are all great games and did very well......People say Japan is slowing down, but give them the games they like and it will sell.....

OTOH: Surely this can't be the XBOX LTD in Japan over 5 years, you minus that from the PS4 LTD and PS4 is still ahead of Switch by 469K........I wonder if the XBOX installbase comprises mostly of Americans living in Japan....?
