Very solid performance for the 3DS, OMG. I know that there was a bundle with the pre-installed Mario, but it's still a very solid number. Holidays are coming?
Very good bump in terms of percentage also for Vita, but if this is the result of the new colors + a new game charting in top ten (with low numbers, ok) near holidays, maaan...
Very great numbers also for Animal Crossing, while Mario benefit from the bundle.

I thought the Vita would have gotten at least 20k what with the new colours being available to pre-order for weeks + ACreed (even if it isn't that big in Japan).

..and I really didn't expect 3DS to stay so high after last weeks boost.

Didn't expect the 3DS to stay that high. It's becoming more and more apparent to me that it's going to wreck during the holidays.

25./28. [3DS] Super Mario 3D Land # <ACT> (Nintendo) {2011.11.03} (¥4.800) - 3.939 / 1.718.297 (+18%)
29./26. [3DS] Mario Kart 7 <RCE> (Nintendo) {2011.12.01} (¥4.800) - 3.699 / 1.831.249 (+6%)

Wow. Wasn't expecting 3DS to crash, by any means, but that's an amazing hold in hardware sales. Judging by the NSMB2 placement, the bundle must have put up really good numbers. Interesting to see Mystery Dungeon's impact next week.

AC rocketing past a million after two weeks by Famitsu, with both boxed copies and download cards selling out. It's simply a matter of time before it takes its place as the best-selling 3DS game, and we'll have to see whether Monster Hunter 4 or Pokemon dislodge it next year.

Good week for the Vita as weeks go, with actually a bit more of a hardware bump than I might have been expecting. With even a tepid holiday boost, I don't expect it to fall down to its previous levels for a few months yet.

So is this the beginning of the Christmas rush, hence why 3DS didn't see that much of a drop (or none at all in Famitsu)?

Nintendo really struggling to beat last years holiday with 3DS...wait a minute! :p
Nintendo about to tear Japan apart with the Wii U

The trinity have been back in the Famitsu Top 30 since the start of the month. It's pretty crazy, heh.

People who picked up a 3DS+AC last week now looking for other games?

I suspect part of NSMB2's boost is down to that factor as well, although in that case the bundle is of course a far more significant factor.

Pokemon Dungeon will easily pull a million. Not only is it the second Pokemon spin off on the system (and the first as part of an established retail franchise), it's the first retail game to use the 3D models on a handheld, and it's out for holidays.

Last week I was wondering if 3DS LTD will be able to outsell PS3 one within the end of the year for real. I think we got the answer this week:

3DS # | 168.876 | 8.258.394
| PS3 | 17.035 | 8.615.290

I know that this week 3DS had also some bundle-colors, but probably the Holidays will help it in keeping this kind of gap over the PS3 until the end of December..

whats the numbers for series thus far?

DS Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team 761,617
GBA Pokemon Dungeon: Red Rescue Team 715,054

DS Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Time/Darkness 1,574,006

The rescue team games were a dual release deal. So the main games (Time/Darkness had a third version later on) sell about 1.5 million.

Edit: Might as well post the third version details.

DS Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky 448,025

And these are LTD sales, obviously. Famitsu/Enterbrain numbers.

MH3U did quite well!

Famitsu is reporting combined numbers for MH3U Best Price and MH3U XL Bundle.

I still think the game could've been a million seller if they took a risk on marketing it in the mainstream.

Nonsense. Not in a million years.

If this is the angle you're looking on BD's sales with, then you were 100% guaranteed to be disappointed.

I really hope Sony have the PS4 ready for next year; in Japan especially there are pretty much no games I can think of that are going to change up its fortunes.

We know price cuts haven't worked in the past; and they don't really have anything first party coming up.

That's the Best price edition of the game.

Right okay, thanks. Is that actually any different content wise than the main edition?
Just seems odd.

And talk about what? Ohh...

HAHA there's always something to talk about. for example:

How does the "Best" version of MH3U compare to prior Best releases. It seems rather low no?
