Media Create and Famitsu are quite close for the Switch (331k for Famitsu). Oh, and so much for the Horizon > Zelda dream, I guess (not the first time retailer charts shouldn't be taken at face value).

I know it's small, but it's kind of funny how in 2 days the Switch sold more than XB1 TLD.

I like NSW for shortening Nintendo Switch, too.

Poor Disgaea, Oregano was right. Seriously why did that series collapse so hard?

Also that's a relatively big drop for Nier.

Cross posting from other thread .

About HZD: So is it good , bad or so so , anyone??

It's pretty good.

Seems like people are potentially buying a Switch without any games. I imagine they know it has no streaming video/Internet functionality at this time, so I guess they just want it day one out of Nintendo fandom and/or concerns about difficulty finding one in the near future.

(Edit: misassumption on my part, corrected in later posts.)

It's a good abbreviation. I was hoping for SWN a la GCN, though.

As expected, for the first time in just under 2 years, Minecraft Vita has left the chart. Boo, didn't quite make it.

Anyway, better than I expected for some of those Switch third-party games (Dragon Quest/Puyo Puyo). Disgaea sub 5k. Hopefully, not sub 2.2k or I'm going to be eating crow again.

Nice for Horizon too.

Solid start for the Switch- sounds like supply's a little rough, so we'll have to see how the numbers hold up.

How does that BoTW Wii U/Switch result compare to Twilight Princess's Gamecube/Wii debut?

Impressive to see the 3DS bump considering Nintendo launched another handheld this week.

Notably, stores significantly overhauled the in-store branding for 3DS while installing the Switch displays.

Afaik it's rather similar, but the GC version of TP was Nintendo store exclusive in Japan (and I think they had 50k at first and ended up shipping 70K LTD).

rip disgaea 5 complete sales...
Guess that means no more NIS games

Companies don't usually base their plans around a single port of their worst performing mainline game in ages.

Wow honestly surprised the attach rate is not higher for Zelda, everyone I know got the Switch for the game
Hoping to see Disgaea 5 in Famitsu's top 30
:(
;-;, I might have to double dip just to support them even though I've already put over 150 hours on the PS4 ver...

As I expected, BOTW didn't do huge in Japan, was actually even less then I thought. Not too bad though, the big sales were always going to be overseas. And who knows, maybe the review hype will help.

Is ~330K good?

I understand it's very hard to find one, so if so they essentially sold through their stock. So it's doing as well as nintendo could have hoped.

Great hardware number for Switch's first week. Of course it's interesting how the following weeks will be.

The software numbers for Switch seem a bit underwhelming? Like most of the people bought 1 game. Which makes the Zelda numbers a bit disappointing as well, because why would so many people not chose Zelda as their 1 game to get?

I know that Wii U attach rate was quite similar, but still.

Keep in mind, we don't have the digital numbers yet.

Japan is apathetic towards Zelda. It's not a huge seller.

Also, the marketing has been pushing 1-2-Switch heavily.
