Yes, it is.

I also noticed Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire return to the Media Create charts somewhere in the 30's-40's. Pokemon is ready to rumble there.

Wasn't N64 only 5.5M in Japan? GC should clear 4 million this year (not counting Q sales).

Jonnyram posted regional sales for the GC on GameFAQs, (in millions) 3.46 for Japan, 7.86 in NA, and 3.26 for PAL regions. Since this was March, the GC's only sold about 100,000 or so since then. I doubt the system will sell another 450,000 units this year.

450k isn't impossible, GC usually has a good push at the start and end of the annual cycle. If it's not past 4M, it'll be real close... which is hardly bad. PC Engine only moved 3.5M thoughout it's lifecycle, and that was considered a popular platform.

Last year, the GC was at 503,200. How sad... Nintendo had so much momentum at the beginning of the year and then it just died. I hope they drop the price soon in Japan.

It's too bad Suikoden IV won't reach III's numbers. And I think Suikoden II did over 500K, so the series' sales hve been in decline.

That's a tad disappointing for Paper Mario 2. Although sales are pretty dire all round this week...

I think Suikoden sales have been in decline, but so have sales of just about every game in Japan, with the possible exceptions of World Soccer and Dynasty Warriors.

I don't know what the total sales number is; but PM2 did bound up and down that chart a bit; its at 11 now as CVXfreak mentioned; there's a bloody good chance it'll go up again... or not

Isn't this valid for quite a lot of game series in Japan though? It seems like many series had their high points during the last gen, with the sequels this gen resulting in less sales. And isn't it also pretty common that sequels sell less than the previous games during the same gen?
