Looks good LD! Just one thing, is this the thread title? if yes then we really need "Metal Gear Solid V" in it otherwise people will be confused.
 
Yes, if Solid Snake is in the game, he will totally sound like he is dying from throat cancer after decades of chain smoking, despite being 12 years old.

maybe a time jump happens and we see an adult Solid Snake, of course Hayter will NOT voice a 12 year old little boy.

I've been putting together evidence for Team B, yet am running into roadblocks as Hayter has deleted just about every tweet which states his lack of involvement in MGSV.

He doesn't. That bit about Volgin having (somehow??) been made to fire the nuke was in Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops.
Then, when Coldman was introduced in Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, some players assumed he was the guy who... manipulated? hypnotized?? Volgin, but I really don't think that's the case. Or that Volgin was manipulated, for that matter: what's in Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops is likely to stay in Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops.
 
I don't follow teams, that's too mainstream for a unique snowflake such as myself *adjusts fedora*

Anyway, my opinion on Hayter is that it's possible for him to still be voicing adult Solid Snake. The crux is if you believe an adult SS will show up in the game or not. It's a complete guess at this point and its highly unlikely such a thing would be revealed or even hinted at before the game comes out.

I'd like to think Hayter isn't outright lying when he says he isn't in the game, not even Kojima outright lies, he just very strongly misdirects.
 
the only MGS comic I wanna see is a sequel to the Last Days of Foxhound

that shit was so good that it's now my headcanon, I can't see Mantis as anything but his LDoF self.

Finished Peace Walker; that was such an extensive prologue I don't even know why they put it behind an 'unlocking' barrier. Perhaps for the more dedicated players/fans. So that's the first official sign of Zero/Cipher/The Patriots in the chronological timeline. I guess I should go play MGS4 now since I forgot fuck-all about that whole convoluted story. Cannot wait for Phantom Pain though!

those tweets are definitely still evidence of him not being in the game. we could certainly debate why he deleted them. but taking his word at face value, the logical explanation is that he deleted them because them make him look like bad, like he's scolding his own fanbase. if i was hayter, and i wasn't in the game, and a had a few too many drinks and made that tweet one night out of frustration, i'd delete it too.

the deletion doesn't negate the validity of the words in the tweet itself at all

Maybe. It's easier to track down tweets than it is screencaps of those tweets, though. Other than trying to dig through Sn4ke_911's posts, there aren't many places to find the "evidence" for Team B.

every interview and statement from hayter since kiefer was announced is solid (for lack of a better term) team B evidence

In past Gamescom events, they have showed trailers or gameplay trailers. So, I assume that Konami will show another MGSV trailer for this year's Gamescom, with gameplay and a hint of MGO.

Can't wait for new info on the next event. I hope it doesn't get too spoilerish.

To be fair, there's not much else to discuss and the world of MGS lends itself perfectly to crazy theories.

It has been pretty dry on news and things to discuss lately... i think you are right haha

I have not been very excited to post on the Hayter thing... i just want to see a poll, and let that really talk. Instead of people posting on the thread. I like numbers a little better with things like this.

On the other hand.. everytime i see updates to the MGS thread i get excited.. open it.. only to find more Hayter talk. At this point i don't really care if he is in or not.

A few pages back we had a massive figure explosion. You can see demon mode Volgin in all his Play Arts glory!! On that note my GZ Snake arrived today...massive swoon. This is the best play art yet, next to the White Raiden!
 
Well for those of you who are tired of Hayter talk, Konami has announced that MGS5 will make an appearance at Gamescom 2014. Hopefully we come out of it with a release date and maybe a MGO reveal.

haha... we went from Figurines, to Hayter talk, to Kojima what shirt is he wearing twitter feed, to more Hayter talk, to more Hayter talk.

You should take some pics of the figuring and share them :D

Oh also... did we ever find out if that MGS GZ image contest from KJP was only for Japan? it would be neat to share images and moments from our playthroughs.

At least Gamescon is around the corner. Can't wait to discuss things that really matter MGS related. :D
