Microsoft Corp. today announced that revenues for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 were $22.2 billion. Gross margin, operating loss, and loss per share for the quarter were $14.7 billion, $(2.1) billion, and $(0.40) per share, respectively.

Computing and Gaming Hardware

· Computing and Gaming Hardware revenue included an unfavorable foreign currency impact of approximately 6%.

. Xbox Live transactions revenue increased $205 million or 58%, reflecting increased users and revenue per user.

So this really isn't good, right? Not only i it just numbers shipped, but its including both consoles. How much is 360 in that number? Or am I getting something wrong?

I hope you guys know that the Xbox One probably doubled or very close to it's results from last year. Combined last year was 1.1m and that was when the 360 was doing alright. It's not great results, but it's better than last year.

I think MS is smart in releasing new sku's and bundles every month. Allows them to continually keep shipping X1s. I would think the 1TB bundle would be most of this considering the biggest month of this quarter was June.

Well they have a new price drop bundle with the new controller, right? Stores might be packed with old Xbone SKUs being sent back to be repacked into the new SKU.

If your product is selling well worldwide, you wouldn't need to keep releasing new SKUs and still be able to keep shipping it.

X360 is probably down compared to last year so the increase for Xbox One is more than those raw numbers show.
Xbox One will be over 1 million easily. How much over though is anyones guess.

The Xbox One is doing worse compared to the PS3 which shipped 1.6 million by itself this quarter when you align launches. Doing better than the Xbox 360 aligned though.

Pretty decent results given that it's up from last year. Though it's hard to tell how much given that we don't know the splits this year or last year for the 360/X1.
