More 4chan leaks/rumors: FFXV future updates (additional cutscenes, World of Versus)

Episode Gladio is only 5$. It seems that the characters episode are gonna be super short, like Arkham Knight short, like 15 mins for episode short.

Valid criticisms? The complaints of the story being unfinished are valid and I have nothing against it however what irks me is seeing the same bunch of posters who were also posting in the past threads where the news about expansions, expanded platinum demo, expanded story cutscenes was all confirmed. It is not something new so it is annoying to see the same posters posting in this thread and expressing the same negative reaction, because this is all that they have to do in every FFXV thread.

Although for this leak/rumor, the icing on the cake was the 'World of Versus' portion which just brought the worst fans of Versus back into the fold. I thought people would have moved on but reading the first page, this doesn't appear to be the case, alas.
 
I for one am glad they are fixing and adding more content to a game I very much enjoyed even if the game wasn't as good as I hoped it would be ^_^
 
I think it was said that the expansion would be focusing on the multiplayer element of the game, so I pretty much doubt we're getting this "World of Versus" thing.
 
5 euro only for the gladio chapter is so concerning... it must be really short sigh. And here I was hoping they would take inspiration from Hearts of Stone/Blood & Wine for their DLC releases -.-'

But they took inspiration from them... in order to build the base game!
 
it was the best unfinished game i've ever played.

what might have been though, because i really liked a lot of it, even chapter 13 (just went too long).

the story beats just had me laughing though. prompto's reveal which had zero consequences other than to unlock a door was priceless.
 
Don't understand the New Game Mode part. Are they saying this is for New Game Plus? Meaning you'd have to play through the game twice to get the full content?
 
After MGS V I'm pretty sour on the whole "unfinished game" idea.

Like many of you, I'll be waiting for the "Complete" or "GOTY" edition.

I wonder if Microsoft is aware of this, and has reached out to Square for an enhanced Scorpio version considering the release window?

Honestly there's nothing here unfinished differently from MGS V obviously lacking a conclusion. There's some lack in quality in regards to certain elements, but that's more saying closer to FFXII than MGSV.

I have been wondering about this too. To me it sounds as if they plan a FFXV Extended Cut mode.
They really should just implement those new cutscenes into the standard game. They are sorely needed there to flesh out the story.

Well at best, you should expect 2-3 hours of gameplay, which sounds fine to me. This will also add a playable Gladio in the main game but I have no idea if he will be playable right after expansion or later when they release the multiplayer expansion.

Yeah.

The leak consists of several small public or extremely likely additions, to prepare you to believe there'd be a big expansion with that name.

Between the brazen fanservice of bringing back "Versus" nomenclature, mentioning stuff that is either public or extremely likely, and flubbing the 1.05 Somnus prediction, I'm not putting a lot of stock in this.

They said they would be after releasing the episodes. What we don't know is if Gladio will be available after his episode of if we will have to wait until Episode Ignis is done.
 
I honestly don't know what to think about that Versus part.

I guess I just don't want them using it when they just seem to hate Versus. Just move on, I think they already grabbed the cash they wanted.

The fixed chapter 13 and the expanded/new scenes will be all part of the free update. They are not behind paywall/season pass.

Season Pass includes.

* Booster/DLC Packs (Usually useless items that can help those stuck with the game)
* Episode Gladio
* Episode Ignis
* Episode Prompto
* Expansion Pack (Currently unknown and whether it is just the multiplayer expansion)

This new leak said that they have another 'World of Versus' expansion but I don't think this is the case. I think it is more likely that the expansion pack is just the multiplayer one which, as rumored, will be set during the 10 years when Noctis is sleeping.

Thanks to XV I'm now against any form of pre order, the hype has been killed for everything with the Square Enix Name on it. Hopefully one of those games will be a pleasant suprise.
 
Here's hoping that "World of Versus" thing is false. It would be galling if they decided to adopt the Versus name again after marketing the game as something it wasn't and then being sure to spell out that Versus was dead when they couldn't maintain that any longer. To adopt the moniker again as a marketing tool would be one hell of a backpedal and kinda sad to boot.

I doubt these are legit at this point though. As someone else already pointed out, the expansion was mentioned to have a multiplayer component which the "World of Versus" concept as spelled out here doesn't seem to fit. The poster of the rumor saying they were just referring to a bug fix with the Somnus thing seems kinda weak, too.

Basically they were thinking about implementing some of the original Versus FFXIII story ideas within XV (or as a standalone game). I doubt that it will actually happen, but, it gets the fans hyped somewhat so people will keep saying it will.

Mgsv at least had AMAZING gameplay.
 
Just finished this yesterday...loved it but I am not going to replay a 80 hour game(the time it took me to finish the story) on new game + just for a few added cutscenes...the Versus or whatever they will call it,for the 10 year gap is interesting though,looking forward to that if its true.

Now I can't imagine what would happen if that so-called Versus expansion thing comes out and if it's just as bad as the base game (and I think it'll probably be bad or even worse since it has high "chances" of not being directed by Nomura after what happened in 2013).
