AFAIK DS cards still work on 3DS. Haven't heard of anything about the 3DS itself being hacked though.

The 3DS was completely hacked by neimod a few months ago.
Full kernel access on an unmodified system with a savegame exploit.

The hack is and will not be made public though, because the creators don´t want to enable piracy.
And apparently the vulnerability has already been patched by Nintendo with firmware 5.0.0-11.

Whatever happens piracy on consoles is pretty much dead once Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo detect and ban you from online play!

I always forget that there are people who actually play Nintendo consoles online.

The other reason they didn't want to make it public was because they said it was way too easy for Nintendo to patch the hole (which actually happened).
