Atlus shot down the idea of having Dojima with Nanako as his "Persona" in the first game. Would've been amazing.
Arc Sys wanted to have Dojima playable in Arena with Nanako as his "Persona." Atlus' reaction was basically along the lines of, "Why would you suggest that? Are you stupid?"
I'd be fine with him being playable though.
Dojima and Nanako if Atlus wants money, and I KNOW they want money. Minds can change in the pursuit of cash, remember "Oh yeah ghost rider is too flamey, iron fist is too punchy"

I'm actually about to start P4 Arena in the next day or two here, but from what I know of it and having recently finished Persona 3 and 4 wouldn't some seriously crazy shit have to happen in Ultimax for
to be in it? Given how they seem to be serious about it being canon and whatnot doesn't it also makes any P1/P2 characters pretty unlikely as well as they'd have to do a lot of backfill there, especially with the time difference?

Dojima doesn't need a persona, he's a full-sized man with man muscles. He can be the 'Gief of P4A, just piledriving all the teenage stand users with his full-sized adult power.

I guess I'm just referring to atlusprime's "Put the tin foil hats away" line where, if he's talking about people expecting a new character, the stream didn't actually announce future announcements. If he's talking about people being skeptical about the possibility of a new character... welp.

I don't really get this sentiment, which is somewhat prevalent. There were P1 and P2 remakes not very long ago, and even in Ultimax, most characters have color palettes homaging characters from those games. (Not to mention that songs from them are selectable as BGM in Ultimax.) Just because Maya or Elly isn't playable in a P3/P4-centric game doesn't mean Atlus pretends those games don't exist.

Put in Shinjiro. Make him a heavy hitting pseudo grappler, since this game needs more than one big grappler type. Given the game's plot, it would not be hard to put him in there as a way for the villains to mess with the P3 crew.
Pre-load DLC function if this happens please. I want better than Day 1 on this.

Excited? Can't say I'm excited about paid character DLC in a fighting game. Now if it was free for a limited time like Adachi, that'd burn my dread away.
