Cannibal the Musical. I don't really know why. I watched that movie like once a month for 2 years.

The sky is bluuueeee, and all the leaves are green.......

DragoonKain

Neighbours from Hell
I've seen Lost in Translation and Michael Clayton each like 100 times. They're my favorite movies, so naturally.

The Bond movies.

Not premeditated, but if I’ve got a hangover or just generally being lazy, then I’ll have the telly on in the background to veg out to and there always seems to be a Bond film on one of the Sky channels that I’ll end up watching.

Nothing like a grim, rainy day outside, and you’re chilling inside feeling comatose snuggled up watching Goldfinger or License to Kill.

This is going to sound weird, but Hook.

Loved it as a kid and I don't know why, but even now after a bad day it puts me in a happy place. Especially the "Hook, hook, where's the hook" song :)

Blade Runner, I watched every version multiple times.

The Third Man, fantastic movie playing in post-war Vienna, where nothing is as black and white as the stunning visuals

Spaceballs - probably my favorite Mel Brooks movie

V for Vendetta - my favourite comic book adaption, even though it's still not as good as the original.

300 - because THIS! IS! SPARTA!

I watched Jurassic Park probably thousands of times as a kid and Toy Story almost as frequently.

I don't watch movies over and over like that anymore, I tend to like to let some time pass so each time I watch a movie it feels relatively fresh.

Interstellar. It has flaws, but as a sci-fi flick it's the best I've seen in years. Watched it twice at the IMAX and I regret nothing. Watched it countless times since then. That music and visual design is just... Kubrick-tier.

Yeah, it's flawed but moments like that and others actually made me cry in the theater, it's rare that a movie has that effect on me.

Of course I think part of it was just the fact that 2014 was a difficult year for me personally, so I was a little emotionally raw and it came out around the time the country seemed to be going to shit (and we didn't even realize how bad it would still get!) so the post apocalyptic setting of the movie felt very timely.

But for whatever reason, the movie really hit me in the feels.

Blade Runner -

Conan the Barbarian: -

The Big Lebowski: -

Mulholland Drive:-

The Royal Tenenbaums: -

Arkos

Nose how to spell and rede to
Anchorman and 40 Year Old Virgin well over 20 times (and I’m not counting half watches or not paying attention or anything like that - that would literally start approaching 100).

MacGruber is a strong new candidate. I’m approaching 10 if not over, with the same rules.

But the real breakout performer is Infinity War. Seen it almost 10 times by now, and only once in the theater. I find if incredibly rewatchable. The pacing and diversity of situations just makes it perfect for casual rewatches.

Back in the days:

The big lebowski
Amor of God 2

What I'm always in for (re)watching:
I saw the devil - such a great flick
The Raid 1&2 (though I think 2>>>>1) imho the current pinnacle of action movies.

Not an asshole.
At this point I pretty much always have a Ghibli movie on in the background. They just cheer me up and make me feel at peace more than any other movies or TV shows, with maybe the exception of the Office. Nothing better than chilling with my dog and a Ghibli movie after a shitty day. Out of all of them, I've probably watched Princess Mononoke, Only Yesterday, Whispers of the Heart, Castle in the Sky, and Howl's Moving Castle the most.

Shawshank Redemption and Amadeus.... because those 2 are my all time favs.

But in reality, I watched Die Hard way too many times - probably around 30 times or so. I was english learner at that time, and wanted to improve my english speaking and listening - yet I was pretty poor that Die Hard VHS at local wal-mart bargain bin was first tape that I bought.
Yippe Kayaye MF, shoot dah glaasss, or even something like "f'ing California" somehow crept into my daily vocabulary, and it didn't work out too well for a dinky Asian boy in midwest. LOL...

Big Trouble in Little China is the only movie I've probably watched more times than anybody should have.

It's the only movie that comes to mind with me. I rarely watch movies twice but I know I watched it over 8 times when I was younger.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Me and my little brother used to watch all three films almost on a regular basis. At one point we could almost recite every line of dialogue. Then the extended editions were released and we had more lines to learn. Even now we still quote those films on a regular basis. Such an iconic trilogy that will probably never be matched.

I've seen it around 30 times and it always, always makes me laugh. And leaves me in awe on how perfect everything is.

Home Alone. It's always on tv around Christmas and I often find myself switching to the channel that's showing it. Same deal with Beethoven and Die Hard.

Pride and Prejudice (2005)

Still watch at least twice a year. Don't judge me.

Also watched Avatar an insane amount of time. 5 times back in the cinema and remember when buying the BluRay I would watch the movie every day for like 2 weeks. Still love it every time I watch. Couldn't even say why. The movie just has such a great flow to it. Cameron is the man.

I'll leave off the ones other people have already mentioned...except for Euro Trip which I am happy to see someone else loves.

The one I have to say that has not been mentioned is The Butterfly Effect. I find it super underrated. It's creepy as hell and Ashton Kutcher and Amy Smart are really good in it.

Werid place to ask, I guess, but, does anyone know if anyone left on Gaf is putting out a 31 days of horror this year? If not i'd be down to get a thread going. Just wondering if anyone here had any idea what was up with that.

Damn Eddie Murphy
Probably this LOL "Sexual Chocolate" So many moments in that movie.

Another one is Ferris Buellers Day Off. As a kid we would rewind the scenes to get slow mo to see how they did things. (on BetaMax)

we had movie night last night. none of my friends had ever seen it and i have seen it way too many times, but we watched My Science Project. it is an amazing 80s high school b movie that is seriously underrated. Fisher Stevens plays the pop culture referencing best friend of a car jockey who discovers alien technology (a plasma ball they sell at Spencer's Gifts) and brings it to his teacher, an ex-hippie nitrus sniffing professor played by Dennis Hopper. he plugs it into the wall outlet, creating a Ghostbusters-style vortex into the sky, as stuff from other dimensions warp into and out of the school.

8RSi.gif

Hopper as an evil scientist realizing the key to the cosmos is some Attack of the Clones-level camp fun.

taken as a pure exploitation flick, it is awesome. it is like Indiana Jones meets Star Wars meets Bill & Ted. the Simpsons Halloween special references the exciting conclusion, when the alien tech has turned the high school into a place filled with ghosts and stuff from other time periods. im sure the Stranger Things guys love this movie.

giphy.gif

when they get to the gym, a T-Rex fades into existence, and it eats the basketball goal, which is an awesome scene. yes, a lot of the movie drags, but it is worth it to see crazy scenes like that. and the cheesy dialog is hilarious, with all this fake 80s teenage slang. Stevens has a tailgater honking at him and he says "Sit on this, butt plug" and pulls a lever. out of the trunk of his car, a hand raises up, giving the bird to the car behind him.

OTVDMuJ.jpg

(beware, there are a lot of gay slurs in this, it is of the time period.)
