The deception was going on for 13 years so how did she pull this off so soon after that lawsuit?

It's sad this imagery is being misused. The whole point of the video and song it comes from is to put forward the message that we are all people and race shouldn't matter. :|
Michael's appearance changed drastically from Thriller by then to the point that he probably felt the need to address it. Given, there are a lot of reasons for his transformation, including skin disorder, severe burns, and general discomfort with his own appearance. The point of the song is that race isn't a tangible thing, and that we are all one race in reality, thus it shouldn't MATTER if I'm black or white (or anyone else). The transforming people was to show how similar different ethnicities actually are to one another. It's message oddly enough resonated pretty well with people 25 years ago. It was a SUPER hit, i remember you couldn't get in a car without hearing it. Some of you younger guys might not understand how big of a star Michael was. The most popular figure in the world today isn't 1/4th as prominent a figure as Michael. We honestly probably don't hero worship today to the same level, so it might be impossible.
