Ellie dying at the end of TLOU Part III would be emotional enough for the audience, and just because characters in TLOU 2 were miserable doesn't mean they're going to be that way in TLOU Part III.

I would bet Dina and Ellie are already together in the next game and they're raising JJ together. The story can take place in the future and Ellie has to decide to give her life for the cure.


There's a lot they can explore in TLOU Part III.

Hmmm this is confirmed? Didn’t Neil say a new IP when he showed that image of fractions 2 and what they are working?

As much as I love Uncharted and TLOU, truly great games. But I want a new IP from Naughty Dog. Its been 10+ years with the same 2 IP. Keep making them but I want the main team to give me a new AAA single player IP.

Glad another studio is dealing with Uncharted though

I'm in the team 'Druckmann ruined what could be a franchise that i enjoy with that awful story and characthers'. IMO a third game that departures from the horrible second entry in those departemnts could be interesting to see. Anyways, i think ND games while tecnically impressive are getting old gameplay wise.

that's awesome, cant wait to see how they utilize the PS5 hardware
the last of us was graphically amazing on the PS3
the last of us 2 was incredible of PS4. so lets see what they do with the PS5

Im all for TLOU 3, it should be a trilogy. I def dont want another Uncharted...ever. With 4 they made such a good throwback and perfect ending, dont milk it anymore. Also, weren't they hinting at a space/scifi IP like forever?

My main problem with TloU Part 2 is that Ellie is a total and utter cunt. Her character is absurd. She is a psycho Karen to Joel and murders everyone.

Genuinely prefer Abby.

Less of a tool.

Historically video games have had multiple sequels, I feel like PlayStation is starving for Nathan drake right now Sony should be all in on UNCHARTED.

But why...after 5 games what more is there? Uncharted 5 with his daughter as the protagonist? Again, why? The story is done, they got the beach house ending and are aging with adventures put behind them.

Yup, get the third game out to tie things up then move on. I do want the third game, but I also hope that’s it for the franchise/story.

If it's good I'll play it. The story in the first game was great. The story in the sequel was executed poorly and has been done over and over. There are tons of books and movies where someone seeks revenge but the character realizes that it's not worth it. Also forcing you to play a character that kills the character you love is some high level trolling, my opinion on Abby didnt change at all, i wanted her and her gross tits to die, she was a horrible character.

Nah I want Uncharted 5 with Nathan Drake as the protagonist. Some no-gooders KIDNAP his daughter after she finds out too much digging into his past. Drake goes on a personal mission to rescue her and ends up getting into some treasure-finding cahoots along the way. 1/2 way through the game you do rescue her and then she's like "Look at this treasure mission I've discovered, we have to look into it more!" and then he reluctantly agrees and the second half is a globe trotting father / daughter treasure hunting and bonding thing where Nathan re-discovers his love of treasure hunting.

If they can keep finding ways to bring Harrison Ford back as Indiana Jones at 65 and 80 years old they can keep Nathan Drake going in a damn video game.

Great to hear and I expect this to be the grand finale for this generation like TLOU was for PS3 and TLOU2 for PS3. So probably late 2026 or 2027.
Excited to see what else Naughty Dog is working on. Amazing output for the PS3 and PS4 gen and now they also bring games to PC.

Good times to be a gamer.

Finished a playthrough yesterday.

What I realised is that game is absolutely awesome when it focuses on survival horror. Abby’s descent sequence is by far the best bit of the game. The rest is nowhere near as good. Boring actually.

Would love an out an out horror game.

Man…. I know these games are very well made and sell well, but I really wish they’d make something fun, wacky, and game-y again (like Crash and Jak & Daxter) instead of Hollywood-style blockbusters.

Personally not interested at all.

Honestly I’m done with TLOU, I’ll pick it up on sale way down the road or wait till it’s added to my subscription but not preording. Hype level 0 for my personally. Was really hoping for that rumored new fantasy IP they were supposedly working on

Maybe I should have added the sarcasm sign after my post as well. I wasn’t looking for an actual answer as to why. I appreciate it though.

The story did feel slightly unresolved to me. I want to see Ellie and Abby be forced to work together. I personally loved Last of Us 2 and I'm all for a part 3 as long as that does wrap up the story.
