Check out the cinematic launch trailer for Necromunda: Hired Gun, the bounty hunting first-person shooter that puts a loyal "cyber-mastiff" dog by your side as you complete your contracts. Necromunda: Hired Gun launches digitally on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on June 1. If you'd like to purchase a physical copy, those will be available on June 30.

Have been following this for a couple of weeks. Focus Interactive don't have the best track record though so proceed with caution.

Yeah, Streum On Studio! I’ve been looking forward to this for a while, I really enjoyed EYE...Deathwing not so much. Really hope this is good.

Here's some maxed out 4K pics from the PC version for those who want to see how it looks: https://www.pcmrace.com/2021/05/31/...munda-hired-gun-en-4k-con-detalles-al-maximo/

You can see in the graphics settings that it has DLSS 2.1, which hasn't been announced for the game yet by Nvidia or the developer -if I'm not mistaken.

Are there going to be reviews of this or what?
They should be out now. I wouldn't get my hopes up though. I wouldn't score it more than 5/10, being generous. It's really bad, even considering it's a indie studio. The price of $40 doens't go hand in hand with the quality of the game. Enemies models and animations are atrocious, the FOV even maxed out is awful, graphics are less than average, and the HUD is way too intrusive and cheap. I had high hopes for it too, but they sold me the game with a nice mix of fast-pace combat gameplay, but it's far from what I expected. I played five levels and had to drop it. It's just not fun to play and sometimes it's way too chaotic for its own good.

How many 40k games are there at this point, do they sell the license for a ten spot or something?
If you ask GW nicely they'll give you a license and a couple of extra for the kids.
Extra Credits made a really good video on the subject, explaining their current shotgun strategy and how it works.

Too bad, although I expected it would be somewhat a 6/10 given there's no reviews and being technically at launch day.

I'll wait for the reviews and see if it's worth picking up when it goes on a deep sale at 10 bucks.

Reviews will be published at 3:01pm PT. I misread the embargo date and published the images early. My apologies.

In UK it’s 11pm, 1 hour before release date, could not be any more later 🤣
Also, it smells like 50+ on MC/OC

All that is technical stuff - hud, fov, animations, etc. You didnt say about the game itself. Its not fun to play because ... ?

Warhammer games have been all over the place in quality lately, but this does look promising.

The gunplay just feels bland and not satisfactory at all. It tries to emulate DOOM Eternal with its double jump and wall-running, but it ends up feeling like an old Call of Duty with the Just Cause grapple and some abilities. It lacks the overall smoothness of the latest DOOM(s) and Wolfenstein(s), and It's really, really hard to put aside the technical stuff on this game when you've played decent shooters before. The IA, models, animations, takedowns, etc, are really below average for its price. I know this is from an indie studio, but even at its 15% launch discount (it will cost $40 after June 10), the game it's just not not worth the money. There are better option and for less money.

Dunno, it seemed fun from gameplay videos, but I would like a honest review from Warhammer fan before i buy.

Had this on my list but seems like this game will make Biomutant look like an 80 in comparison. Oh well.

Played the first level. Aiming is pretty bad but the game is ok. Looking forward to playing more tomorrow

I like Streum, just got it for XBO. I’m going to play it all day tomorrow, I’ll post my impressions afterwards if anyone’s curious.

Play Canadian casino online strategyfirstinstitute.com and get bonuses for each deposit you make. I never played casino before, but when I tried this one I realised that gambling is my passion and I can make real money on it. Poker and video slots are really profitable games which can make you rich. Try it now and and get a bonus as an new member.

I want to try it!

This looks great and I'm always in for more 40K, even if I have no idea of its lore, its too much! But it may be worth waiting on a patch or 2

I'm gonna wait on that I think

They need to patch the aiming on PS.

If you’re holding down aim, press reload and continue to hold down aim, it does *not* return you into the aim position.

Incredibly annoying. I can’t fathom how they thought that was a good idea.

I've played it a bit now. Have to agree with Mando and ACG. The game is fun and has good bones, but there are a few issues to be ironed out and a few sections that can be more fleshed out. I'd give it a solid B. Smaller studio and a smaller price. If you're into 40k or doom style games grab it or wait for a sale. Caveat this is my opinion on the PC version.

I haven't played it (yet), but almost all those things you mention that make it not worth the price are things that are very common in many of these lower budget games from pubs like Focus. And they're irrelevant. I mean, of course, if what you care about is everything being able to compete with the best, then you've got some points, but nothing you say here make me feel like I shouldn't try it, we've just got vastly different priorities.

And imo what price a game is worth depends on how much you enjoyed your time with it, not how good animations and takedowns are.

Same issue on XBO, the aiming is so bad it’s hard to play. I had to mess with the sensitivity settings and turn auto aim off to even be able to reliably shoot enemies at all. The game is super framey as well. Runs about 20-30 FPS. I’ve had it hard crash once. Not a great experience on XBO. Other than that it does seem pretty fun it just seriously needs a patch.

I'm gonna wait until they iron out the bugs, it seems like aiming with a controller is fucked up.

Didn't you buy CyberPunk at launch? 🤔
George Clooney What GIF

Eewww, nope .. I´m deeply hurt! :(

Will never buy the generic, highly scripted, cheap, weakass, wonky-lite FPSRPG on rails with only one bike and hundreds of twins roaming the streets.

I was checking a stream there and the game looks quite good. I’m interested. But I’m playing other game so I’ll probably wait for a discount.:

Necromunda: Hired Gun reviewed by Travis Northup on PC. Also available on Xbox and PlayStation.

"Necromunda: Hired Gun has an iconic setting, lots of gore, and great mobility and gunplay, but it keeps giving you reasons to not play it. Whether it's the technical issues, the hopelessly dim AI, or a story that's as bland as a barn door and comically short, you have to be willing to overlook a towering pile of aggravating problems in order to appreciate what this RPG shooter does well."
