New Culdcept Saga Screens: Card nerds, set mouths to froth!

Why the heck isn't this game out yet? The release flood is right around the corner. This poor baby is going to drown so bad Shadowrun is going to pity it.

jesus i wish they'd release this or one of the other impending games this season like now. i'm not gonna have enough time this fall for all the big games this fall & holiday season, much less the smaller ones i want like this.

My brother actually bought my 360 off of me just so he could play this game. He is a HUGE fan of the older, previous Culdcept on the PS2. I upgraded t o an Elite. :D

I actually pre-ordred the game as did he. He has a fe w guys at work interested in t he game right now. Word of mouth is the key, IMO.

Hehe I was looking up the Culdcept game on Amazon, and I saw our very own Sonarrat is selling it used on the site. I forgot he does that.
sonarrat has a storehouse of Culdcept copes that would make Scrooge Mcduck jealous.

It's even more scary when you consider there are plenty of games other people are looking forward to that I'm not, like Banjo and Project Gotham 4.
That and the PS3 games + Mario/Metroid wii mean I will not have enough $$ this year.

Was the Japanese version ever patched? I'm thinking about re-purchasing the game.
I think it was and also seem to recall there was some kind of DLC (details may be found in the thread about the game when the jap version was released some months ago) .

Theres also a jap updated version listed at play-asia.

Is it that you never liked banjo or not confident on what Rare can offer now?

And btw, i have a very similar 360Wishlist.

The graphics don't look that great but hopefully we'll get a lot of varied cards and online play. I enjoyed the first one but I could never find anyone to play it with. All my friends thought it was dumb. They didn't appreciate the complexities of this game.

Yeah I ****ing hated Banjo on N64 - and most of RARE's N64s offerings actually. But also I am not confident in what RARE can offer now on top of that, so it's like a double whammy! :lol

this game is pretty good. i played it on my NTSC-J XBOX 360 system, and the gameplay is really addictive. it has english voices but everything else is in japanese, so you don't know much about what every card can do, and it's a shame because there's a lot of different cards that make differents actions.

i hope Namco, or MS or Ubi, bring Culdcept Saga to Europe.

not a big card buff, but i did play magic the gathering. do you guys think i would enjoy this? i feel like supporting the "cause" just for the hell of it. :lol

its substantially less 'card gamey' than your usual ccg -> video game port

this is a board game card game mix, and plays like it

fun stuff, in any case. xbla ftw! horrible text wrap ftl!

I still don't have a 360, but I know I want this game (360 comes in Nov with my new TV). Im wondering if I shouldn't buy it now, I worry that it will vanish into obscurity after release, much like the PS2 version. I'd hate to go out to buy it when I finally had a 360 only to have it gone ;)

Going on what's been said, Culdcept is more of a board game with a card mechanic than a card game on a board. Ideally they'll release a one-level demo or a tutorial level demo.
