Tom Henderson revealed few more updates on "Quantic Dream's Star Wars Title".

In his recent Twitter post, the dataminer went on to reveal that Quantic Dream was working on the Project Karma/Solstice for the past 2 years and there are chances that this project has been morphed into the upcoming Star Wars title.

However, he warned the fans that he was not sure about it, yet his sources did hit at its possibility as "game engine can not hack an open-world title".

So Sony is ok with Abby but a whore android with big boobs put them off? Wonder if they were crying about Nude Madison at some point in Heavy Rain? Also... Star Wars... *tiny clap*

As long as it isn’t more walking gameplay and has a bit of combat I could be interested.

We don't know what the "scenarios" were. I could totally see Cage getting bizarre/weird with those.

I mean we know he thinks his own games are deep, so I can only imagine.

Its gonna be baaaad combat. QD is no Remedy. Rather they go all out like Detroit branching narrative rather do something they for sure has zero experience in.

Now I want to play David Cage's original vision for Detroit with that fourth protagonist. A playable "whore android" not only is a unique concept, but it also fits perfectly with the themes and setting of Detroit, so I don't know what was Sony thinking when they forced Cage to compromise on his creative vision (edit: well, yes, I do know, they probably were afraid of the SJW backlash by the fucking weirdos over at Twitter/ResetEra, plus there were probably also some SJW idiots within Sony that found David Cage's writing for this fourth protagonist "problematic"... ugghhh :pie_eyeroll: )

Worldwide Studios didn't have enough at the time when they soft-rebooted Death Stranding because the tone and some of the situations were "too dark and horrific", but now we learn that they also messed around with Detroit creatively? Seriously, fuck them. Hopefully things will be different under Hermen's leadership.

Oh, and it's great to finally have confirmation that the "unnamed space game" from Sony that leaked in 2014 and never showed up at any event in the following years was this Project Karma by Quantic Dream.

Do we have any credible source to believe any of these two things are true? They don't make sense. Regarding the robowhore (I think it would have been cool and would have matched very well the game's theme), Sony didn't seem to have any issue with this topic because in the game there is android sex workers.

Regarding the DS being too dark and horrific, again doesn't make sense because they did several horror games and some like TLOU2 are really gore and dark. If they gave him enough creative freedom to greenlight something as weird as a AAA postapocaliptic postman simulator, I highly doubt they would have had any issue with adding some extra horror or dark stuff.

On top of that, many devs from many studios always praised Sony for giving them total creative freedom.

As I remember SSM did work on a cancelled new IP set in space before GoW 2018 so probably was that one.

My point was just that it might not have been the android that was the problem, but what he did with the characters. Not arguing what happened with Abby was great or was necessary at all.

I just know I think David Cage is weird. So I'm not surprised.

First party censorship resistance 100%. Can't let third party companies get the benefit of edgy content too much. It'll be on a case by case basis.

Kratos sex romp mini games in GOW way back and Abby getting rammed up the asshole are a-ok though.

But if a third party dev wants to show a panty shot or a DMC bum cheek, can't have that.

Never played Detroit, but I definitely don't feel like a whore android would make a good fit. Just a gut feeling though. In a sense I think it would become the spectacle of the game taking away from the larger message.

David Cage is a hack who can't write.

The Death Stranding stuff is all true, I have personally heard of it from various people of my trust. That game went through a lot once Andrew House was not there anymore to sort of "protect" the project. The soft-reboot (alongside the dramatic change of tone that came with it) was just one of the many ways in which Sony WWS messed up with Kojima and Death Stranding.

Regarding Detroit, well, Tom Henderson says in the tweets that Sony were the ones who felt really uncomfortable with the whole "whore android" protagonist and her overall storyline, to the point that they wanted to finally be done with Detroit so they would cut all of theit ties with Quantic Dream. To me, that's pretty telling of who were the ones who pushed for the fourth protagonist to be cut from the game (spoiler: it probably weren't Cage/Quantic Dream).

Again, you should drop that "this cannot be true because it doesn't make sense" argument of yours, because what "makes sense" from your perspective doesn't apply to some of the decision making that goes down behind the scenes.

The "unnamed space game" was reported to be in development several months after Darkside got cancelled over at SSM, so it most likely was the QD project. Also, the SSM game wasn't much of a space game, as the whole game seems to have been set on a single alien planet rather than in an interstellar setting with various worlds you'd travel to.

It fits pretty much perfectly actually; Its Pris from Blade Runner basically, an ideal partner to Markus who's taking the rebellious Roy Batty role.

Detroit's very good for what it is; Cage just riffing on his cinematic inspirations as per usual. I never saw there being any particular message to it -it is what landed him in hot water with the woke journos after all!

I highly doubt content would make Sony reconsider their deal as if that character arc was originally planned, it would have been in the original pitch too... so it wouldn't come as a surprise to them. Its also not like the game shies away from dark and heavy subject matter as it is!

Edit: Also, kinda dubious about Death Stranding getting "soft-rebooted", that game was made in way too timely a fashion to have had major revision done mid-way through. I can definitely imagine Sony laying down some limits -noone pumps millions into too edgy product- but as per usual I suspect there's a lot of exaggeration involved.

I disagree, i’m happy if they branch out to actual gameplay.

I enjoy their games a bit, more so detroit and least of all beyond but they’re barely games at all lol.

You guys didn't realize he was living out his fantasy through the Android whore. It would have been the most developed character arc that you all would have been ashamed of judging by the game's end.
