I'll be really surprised if Stickerbush Symphony doesn't get a remix. Didn't make the cut for DKCR despite probably being the most best known DKC track outside of DK Jungle Swing and Aquatic Ambiance.

It won't, because if so, it would sound in the Bramble Scramble level showed on the VGX for sure, and it doesn't. The music of that level is the same of the tune that sounds in the Cannon Canyon level.

I agree, along with the mines remix in Switcharoo... Those two levels were the climax of the game IMO.

Remixes wouldn't take anything away from the originals anyway.
Trine 2 is 720p at 30.
I quite liked the new stilt village, mill fever and cascade capers (even though I prefer the OG Cascade Capers).

When you have to say it is "technically" a very powerful device you know you're stretching the truth, lol. I guess it is "technically very powerful" in comparison to their last gen hardware, the Wii.
More on topic with this thread though, game is looking great but I've reached the point that I can't take any more media for it. It's not exactly a game that lends itself well to trailers or extended gameplay demos, it's fucking Donkey Kong after all - what you see is what you get.

Only thing new there is Monster Games apparently worked on Tropical Freeze. I thought they had a good handle on Retro's level design, they made some solid levels on the 3DS version. This is a good thing!

Didn't DKCR3D have framerate issues? Although I never got to play the new levels so they could be talkng about that.
The interview basically outright confirmed that the game is done and Nintendo intentionally delayed it (and lied to their consumers) not only to push Mario 3D World harder, but also to fill in their Spring lineup. (I wonder if any games besides it and Mario Kart will make it...)
I'm a bit upset because that was my most anticipated Wii U game of the year prior to the delay, but thankfully I have quite a bit of other games to devote my attention to on the system in the meantime.

I'm pissed as well. Same thing with Ubi and Watch Dogs. They NEVER had any intention of releasing them on the same day. They just wanted to make their lineup seem more appealing.

On 3DS yeah, it was a quickly done port. 30fps with dips at times.

That is pure speculation. But the fact is, this game is 10$ less than the normal game Nintendo publishes for it. I emailed and Facebooked Retro on level/content amount, but neither would give me any information. I hope there is indeed a secret world and that TF has a similar amount of content compared with Returns, but I don't think people are wrong in their questioning.

This game is going to sell systems. People are begging Nintendo for another Wii U price cut. It's not happening yet, but Tropical Freeze is going to provide some monetary relief.
Consider this: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies is only $30 yet provides more content than many $35 or $40 3DS games.
TF was said to be $50 when it would be released right next to 3D World and Wind Waker HD. Is DKC a stronger brand name than the other two? Probably not. Does Nintendo want TF to sell? Definitely. So the price discount reflects that.
Then TF got delayed. They ain't gonna raise the price.
Retro won't tell you content/level amount because they want to unveil their bombshell announcements according to their own marketing schedule.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. Yes, I'm certain that Tropical Freeze will be a great side-scrolling platforming game, but Rayman Legends was able to fill at itch for me, and I'm more interested with the more original experiences that the Wii U has offered (Nano Assault NEO, The Wonderful 101, Zombie U, etc.)
(Before anyone asks, I did try the game during the Best Buy promotion this summer. I wanted to enjoy it, as I love the SNES trilogy & DKCR, but I didn't have fun with it.)

Really not feeling this game. I liked the gameplay and visual style in the SNES games a lot better. And no matter how you look at it, 3-4 years spent on a sidescroller by a big studio is pretty disappointing. And it looks very tame compared to Mario 3D World. Nintendo should really open a studio in the UK with some of the old Rare crew to crank out games.

Yeah there were definitely Kremlings in the GBA DK King of Swing game for sure. Don't remember if they were featured in the DS sequel.
Stopped reading at the part where the guy starts calling Metroid fans pathetic and says "But unlike the charge that "Republicans want ObamaCare to fail because they hate Barack Obama when in reality the law is designed to fail..."
They also mention that Kenji Yamamoto worked on the soundtrack, and without a single piece of media in native 1080p and no real source for that, gamexplains tweet doesn't really seem to hold much weight
I hope not, the 3DS doesn't need a version of every WiiU game (I'd rather have a game tailored to the 3DS' strengths rather than a game that's just there for the sake of being there like Kid Icarus Uprising) and it certainly doesn't need to deprive the WiiU of it's deserved Metroid game.
