It's good to remember that patent drawings don't necessarily correspond to a specific new model. A lot of the time they just show now features being slapped onto an existing one just to show how they would work.

If it is the same it had to be a fully modular design. Like you unclip the sticks and swap them out. Seems like it'll work differently than the Elite controller.

DS4 feels great in my hands, a bit heavy compared to DS3 but it might be their best controller ever. Just don't be a cheap bastard sony when picking your production line.
