As a recovering FFXI addict, I felt right at home with the battle system. I didn't really like the 'agro lines' in the demo, but I don't think they will keep those in the final (or maybe you can turn them off).

In the latest demo build, there was an option to toggle them on or off, as well as adjust a few other things:

We chose to play this latest demo in wait mode, where the action freezes as you input commands for your characters. At any time during play, you can open up the options menu and switch to the reverse, active mode. Also selectable in the options are a number of settings for battle speed, a toggle for the target line which indicates which enemy you're currently engaging, a toggle for subtitles and, strangely, a toggle for flicker filter.

You can. In the latest demo build, you could switch between Active/Wait and toggle the targetting lines on/off, even in the middle of combat.

But ducky, rumors suggest that the game Final Fantasy the kid played in FFTA which is the world the book in FFTA is based off of is FFXII.

I did love the creatures of FFTA. The Bagnaa, Nu Mou, and Viera were all super sweet. I'm so glad that they're making a return for FFXII.

I swore after the atrocity that was FFX that I would never play a numbered FF game again. I might actually get FFXII, however, because of how different it is from the rest of the series.

I thought SquareEnix injecting cancer directly into Matsuno's eye was the actual punishment, but getting his soul sucked out is harsh too.

Seriously I can't believe that not a single Japanese gaming mag or website made contact with him. Just go over to his fucking house and ask him what happened. The man is a freaking genius and I can't believe people are ignoring him. GO OVER TO HIS HOUSE! Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story ruled, I love Matsuno, hope hes ok
