Ever since the Civil War honest trailer called out her scissoring everyone it's super noticeable.
Given how great the cartoon was, you'd probably find yourself saying that a lot even if the film turns out wonderfully.

Figured if they did that scene they wouldn't go all the way with it, either to keep it PG-13, or Scarlet doesn't want to go nude, or both (I assume it's PG-13?).

I know this is off topic but AMC theaters have been really on their game lately. I was afraid they were going to ruin my Stubs card once they went to Premiere but they made the card twice as good with an exclusive concession line, better points deals, and getting to use reward balances more frequently. Plus my local AMC finally does reserved seating so I don't have to get to the theater and hour or more beforehand for any big release.
AMC is A++++ in my book right now.

I agree. I like Scar jo but this is the MAJOR. You got to really look for someone to fit that role

The scene and art direction looks ripped out of the anime which is good but then Johansson appeared and it looks obvious she's standing in front of a green screen.
Kusanagi wasn't naked in that fight scene she just wore a really, really, REALLY tight latex suit.

Some of the best parts of the movie are the scenes that just linger on the city and its people and the urban decay. I just don't see that happening in modern Hollywood.

lol that's exactly what I noticed too. A really unfortunate side effect in most Hollywood action scenes and their incessant cutting. Would've probably been better if they had just kept it at the wide shot.

The teaser was a taste of that scene.
Yeah you are right, I guess it is just the beginning/end. Haven't seen the movie in years.
Getting the helmet/hood thing back would probably throw me off less.
It may be more apparent outside the action scenes. With just these short snippets it just seems like the Black Widow we are used to in a different outfit.

Looks like three cuts from three separate parts of the scene.
I like the holographic buildings.
They're adapting the Stand Alone Complex Second Gig Hideo Kuze/Individual Eleven arch IIRC.

It's a memorable scene for it's mechanical creepyness. Partly due to the music, but also the majors dead eyes. She truly seems robotic, like a fuck doll come to life.
Even though this is just a teser, all I see is more of this:
There is nothing wrong with sexualized action heroines who kick ass but so many of these are just the same character over and over again. Written by men for men.
Emily Blunt is the one who I think shines above other action heroines right now. I was super impressed with her in Edge of Tomorrow, in Sicario and in Looper (though not an action role). She is really great!
I don't blame any of the women above. It's the scripts. In all of them!

Oh, never seen SAC outside of a few episodes here and there on Animax. I've only seen the two movies. So they're throwing in some scenes from the movie for the cool factor?
