I think it's the textures and the fact that everything looks like "this gen" with a larger scope.
And the target video looked a lot better.

Water in the first pic seems a bit strange

Other than that, seems good. Doesnt knock my socks off but good

shrugs, it looks every bit as good to me... though who knows if there will be earth shattering explosions like the one in that trailer.

The first pic looks very nice. It seems to have high res textures and anisotropic filtering....and the shadows look like the E3 pics.

The textures on the fountain are really blurry and the fountain itself isn't casting a shadow.

I hope we can change that awful reticule. Uggg... that thing is so big, and thick... and round... oh shit, wait a sec...

I LIKE BIG BUTTS AND I CANNOT LIE

It's a little jarring for there to be a HUD that looks like it's designed to be a first person HUD when you're in a third person view.

i know it's only a little thing. but doesn't that big ass, thick reticule bother anyone else? it's really distracting to me.

Meh... unlike some of the other ones previously released, I'm quite unimpressed by these. They actually look mediocre to me.

Hmmm, is there a realife location like that? I mean dqviii has a place like it, and I'm sure I've seen another game with a similar area too.

I think it is in hawaii or mexico. I also think there is more than 1 place on the Earth like that.

Mario Kart Double Dash? Thats what i thought when i saw that, i can already see the karts riding under that rock.

A little poly-starvation going on in some things that should have more than enough.

Anyone have 'target' screens?

Not impressed. But that said, none of the GH or R6 games have really blown me away from a visual standpoint.

I can't wait to see UbiMontreal's SplinterCell, that's going to be amazing (forget that Shanghai shit).

Yeah, it's a little too much. I'm hoping you can at least tweak the transparency since I don't expect that you'll be able to change it.

They look nice, but not all that impressive. How is that possible?

The largest problem comes from the fact that the geometry is incredibly simple for a next generation game. Everything seems a bit too flat and angular. Look at that fountain or those arches. Not pretty.

It looks like a current PC game or something, basically.

The largest problem does not come through in stills, however, and that is the animation. The game animates very roughly (especially compared to the E3 target footage) and comes off looking like, well, a PC game.

It has that rough PC look...and I don't like that.

It can look absolutely beautiful at times, however, but it isn't all that impressive.

Looks teh same as it always has to me. From the movie till now. You guys seem to making this your own personal rollercoaster, when its really just the Disneyland train.

Always? As in from the beginning with the "target render" movie? No way.

It's been at the current level for a while now though...

If you ask me, they should've dropped the cross-com thing, and doubles the detail in the scenes. Becuase, obviously, it's rendering two (or more even?) scenes most of the time (maybe one in lower res, but still..).

I really like it anyways this series rocked so far. I've played it at X05 really short, it looks a lot better now.

Also, there is a cooperative campaign, which is unique. So it's not 'just' the single-player campagne in co-op. I wonder if the single-player campaigns is playable in co-op too though. And they will have downloadable episodes for the unique co-op campaign.

Yeah Fuck gameplay innovation. Give me the graphics!

Yeah, some people don't seem to realize its the screenshots that are bad(blown up). That tanker scene which doesn't look too hot here is the same game the media drooled over when they saw it.

Are you insane? Do you REALLY think that people are bashing the visuals due to screenshot quality?!?! Those screenshots are of great quality (better than damn near everything else this gen). Not only that, the top screenshots are reduced in size...giving them free AA.

Went back and watched again. Same questionable textures and low poly enviroments. What made that first video awesome was the atmosphere and animation, which unfortunately doesnt come across in pictures.
