Possibly, we'll be really in the game. Anyone remembers 2006 GTHD project that was canned? Here is one very old promo-screen where rally driver is actually walking around the car. Surprises are apparently awaiting:

Screen above says we'll be able to change the clothes (remember Tourist Trophy? Now we see the guy walking around in civil clothes in the new trailer and if you remember on of the first screens form Nurburgring, there was a guy driving an SLR in civil clothes with sunglasses on).

Here is the translation:
"First, select a clothing style worn by the driver(A-SPEC DRIVER)
Please note that clothing once selected, can not be changed again" (thanx to Whknky at GTPlanet)

If the photo for the "User" can be replaced with the PSEye snapshot of our beautiful faces, than it is plausible we'll be able to "exist" in the very game (something like Loeb's face exists in his races inside Special Hall).

Sceen above is apparently a real GUI screen for the very beggining of the game - 20,000 credits as a pile for start.

It's interesting that they're using G27s to demo the game now instead of the official wheel. Hopefully that means clutch control as default for the G25/G27, instead of having to manually switch it on at the beginning of every race.

I didn't follow the other gigantothread, so pardon for asking, but: is there a release date yet? I know they just said it was delayed for some reason.

Nope, not yet. 'Before Christmas' is SONY's word, majority of people are speculating a few weeks - a month at the most.

Rats. Me pappy's birthday is Nov 8, this was coming just on time. It's the reason he even wanted a PS3 to begin with. But if I can do it for Xmas, that's good too.

All of the shots look really incredible, this does look like it'll have enough to keep him busy for a long time.

You know as far as sound goes.... That GTplanet coverage of the headtracking/sls sounded amazing. You can gauge the suond from the TV compared to the sound the camera takes of the actual sls pulling off. In the GT vid you're getting the rumble of the exhaust. Sounds pretty meaty.. so think they have given the sounds a good attempt. Its hard with so many sources out there.

So to say they're sorry they release a trailer? How does that make sense? That's just teasing. Make Prologue cheaper give us a demo not a trailer, what the hell.

At this point, does it really matter what PD says about the release date of their game? Looking forward to buying it when its in a store. But I'm done getting excited/looking forward to a certain time. Its like a hot chick that keeps blowing you off, yet calls you again to schedule another date.

We don't know about most of the tracks in the game and we won't know till release, it's one of the surprises Kaz holds back, but you wouldn't know about that would you. btw shouldn't you be in another thread, oh yeah that one doesn't have the jets now does it! :p

Yeah or make a track creator with infinite possibilities. I think tracks are covered friendo. And for some reason media/gt fans dont seem to count reverse/variations. Where as for other games, reverse/point to point segments are considered 1 track. Its not like there is a significant gap in tracks.

Oh yeah and theirs a track creator.

No luck :(. It couldn't identify the song in the dynamic weather trailer either, so maybe these are too obscure or just unique to GT5.
