I head that regular N3DS have larger screen that the old 3DS, but smaller than 3DSXL, is it true? The old one is too small while XL is too big to fit into my pocket, so if this true I might changed back to regular size.
Yes the regular N3DS has slightly larger screens than the OG 3DS. Battery life a little better too.

OG: 3.53"
N3DS: 3.88"
XL/NXL: 4.88"

Nevermind upper commenter got it right.

Tempted as I'm paid next week. It's clearly fate!

Do 365games charge when you order or when the items shipped out?

I'm expecting it to be shipped early hours tomorrow morning being really optimistic./QUOTE]

But the fact stock could be coming from NZ to HK first could mean customs clearance process in HK first which could take a day at least (?).... i dont see them shipping before the 22nd me thinks......

Cheers, just saw it in the FAQs once I got out of the mobile site. Think I'll see if they have stock left come next week.

Really wish the New XL had faceplates too. I'd definitely bite if that were the case. But now my choice is move to a smaller screen but have the cool faceplates, or stay at XL but have no faceplates. (Or not move at all!)

It's a toughie.
I'm in the same boat. But I think the slightly larger screen on the regular model, as well as dem faceplates, is enough to convince me to "downgrade".

The slight increase in the screen size might just make it "perfect". We'll see when it finally arrives here.

I went for the XL, because I want the improved 3D as much in my face as possible

Also, I have used a JP New LL and I liked it a lot.

I just got my black XL. Woah. No regrets. It is really nice! It feels really comfortable and the 3D effect is so seamless. There is no break in the 3d, not even a little or any shimmer effect if I move my head or the system side to side. It just works.

The build quail it's of the XL definitely feels premium. Really nice

How doe's the new 3DS feel in your hands? Does it feel better than the original XL? That's what I have and it drives me nuts how it creaks when pressed and feels all around cheap.

It's much better than my old XL. The old one creaks a lot but the New XL feels really solid and doesn't creak when I hold it or press on the back of it. The build quality is much better, so it definitely has a premium feel.

It seems comfy to hold and the d-pad has a slightly rounded edge feel and is ever so slightly easier to press than the old XL dpad. It's pretty similar but still improved on the new XL in my opinion. The circle pad on the new one has a lot less resistance so that's noticeable but I can't judge whether that's a good thing yet or not until I've played a bunch of games.

I was worried the two new shoulder buttons would be super uncomfortable, like the original Wii Classic Controller, but they're not! When holding the system your fingers automatically rest across them both and it's easy to press one or the other with a flex of the finger. It's really comfy.

System is pretty snappy. Loads on GAF on web browser while playing Smash pretty quickly.

Thats fucking great :). No need to move between smartphone and the 3DS to check something real quick, like a super cool smash combo or some shit :D

Edit: I really really love the striped finish on the XL, yet the coloured buttons on the regular one and the custom plates and the perfect size..maybe they'll release plates with an XL like finish some day.

New 3D effect is rock solid. Game changer for people who commute on train or bus, the shaking always made it too annoying to use.

Man this build quality is amazing too. I can't make it creak or squeak at all.

UK people, does 365games take the money straight away or just before order is shipped?

Also these are imports? What features will I lose?
Money straight away. Imports. No features lost, charger sold separately.

How have UK people fared with customs charges when buying from Play Asia?
Absolute pot luck, as its fedex. Play Asia hasn't shipped any yet though.

Mine is from Mightyape via DHL. They dispatched it yesterday morning, and it reached the UK today - I will probably get the parcel delivered tomorrow. Incredible.

Mine was released from customs at the same time! I never would have guessed it would be in the UK after one day. I would really also like it to get to me tomorrow. Especially since I was expecting it to be sometime next week.

I'm actually contemplating going for a N3DS from an 3DSXL. Anyone else do that? How is the trade off in terms of screen real estate, PPI, etc. The faceplate stuff and form factor are major swaying points - and if the image is sharper than the "stretched" XL, then I might drop down.

Though, some design aspects don't sit well with me - power button placement, stylus placement, how empty the area where the Home button is, the questionably useless nub.

You lucky bastards.

Anyone else not getting a charging dock?

I was considering getting one from playasia or ebay after my N3DS arrives this weekend, but...I don't really need it. I'm quite happy just using the AC adapter on its own.

Yeah, I feel for you guys in America. Sure, we haven't got a release date either here in the UK/EU but at least we can import a console from Australia that will work with all of our games.

Reggie can't be popular right now, that's for sure what with this and the lack of a Majora's Mask special edition.

I probably already know the answer to this, but can someone chuck Pokemon X/Y in and see if the framerate is any better

No.

All 3DS games apart from those developed with the N3DS in mind will play exactly as they always have done. It's like expecting the N64 expansion pak to improve the framerate in Goldeneye. Sorry, but it ain't happening.

I paid with PayPal when I ordered from 365games and they took the money out instantly. Not sure if they have alternate payment methods and their policy on it.

They are from Australia/New Zealand but they are the same region. You won't lose any features.

Ordered from 365 seems theyll be shipping on the 28th they said on Twitter they probably won't arrive to us by the 28th and they might only be sent at that time. Shame I was hoping to play pokemon on it right away might just keep it sealed until it arrives.

Yeah, thats what I've been saying for a while. They need to import the stock wholesale to the UK first before dispatching to customers.

But hey, you guys paid less than I did overall and avoid customs charges so it works out fair enough.

Yeah I don't have a problem with it par having now to wait to play pokemon as I want something new to play on the xonsole. Guess I could always buy something else....heh

Also anyone go for the charging dock? I'm tempted but is play Asia the only place to get one in the UK? Also kinda regretting getting the XL the faceplates on the standard are awesome.
