My circle pad doesn't make any noise (at least I don't think I hear anything), but there is a slight roughness to it when I move it left and right.

A) How well this is selling. No joke GREAT February for 3DS coming

B) How yet again Nintendo can't provide stock. I simply do not understand how they consistently under ship product

Ya know, before it was officially announced, I remember someone made a comment warning that this launch was going to be slim so if you wanted one, you should pre-order to be safe. I can only image they're sitting back right now going "I told you so."

That said, it really seems to depend on where you live. Some areas are just hosed. Others... people don't care as much.

I figure it has to be that Nintendo are so extremely conservative that they always under-estimate demand to avoid excess stock (which is a very bad sign for both Wall Street and consumers who want them to succeed) ...

... or Nintendo continues to intentionally under-supply for PR reasons. So it looks like their products are in demand when people see lines and feel like they should get in on it too.

Only problem is the lines for their products are getting smaller and smaller over the years, and the under-supply is getting to be comical.

Thanks. If they aren't doing Saturday delivery that is a real bummer. I'll either cave and buy one for full price this weekend and then simply refuse delivery from Amazon, or wait until Monday and then get a refund for 'rapide' postage. They didn't ship it until 3.30pm yesterday, which seems late for an international delivery.


Although rapide delivery says -2 days and they'll claim that is working days.

I've been playing Majora with the c-stick today, you don't need to activate it within the menu it just works straight away. Does the c-stick work on the 3DS menus?

I had this problem with the flickering 3D at first too, I discovered I was holding the console too far away, you need to hold it approx 30cm away from your face.

Have to say i'm not really impressed with the charging cradle. Never do get it charging without moving it around a little.

I miss the original 3DS dock

Just got my new 3ds but I'm having problems with calibration of the circlepad. It's off center and it won't let me reset it at all. Even when I go to settings to redo the calibration, the cursor is stuck in the top left position.

Anyone have any experience with this or know a fix?

I went to Target at 8:00 am, there were about 10 people in front of me and we all were able to get one. They had 3 left when I left.

I guess Nintendo say they want to sell a specific amount and nothing will stop them from doing that. So dumb.

Sucks that it's sold out everywhere. I have been so busy in the past month I haven't had an chance to get to a store to pre-order and now I won't be able to take advantage of the trade-in offer.

Really sucks.

I could easily have snagged a black one at a toy r us in my area but I wanted red.

They had six of the black ones in the case, no one was looking for them. Maybe by tonight they will disappear.

Actually I want a blue, but at this point in the 3ds's life maybe even a simple color refresh might be out of the question.

Sorry for probably being really redundant, but is it actually confirmed that the Majora console is limited, as in probably no more shipments? Missed the 20 minute pre-order window, wasn't able to line up anywhere this morning, yada yada. I'm trying to decide if I should wait a few weeks and see if any more pop up, wait a few months and see if there's gonna be a Xenoblade special edition console (which if there is, I will probably just miss again), or just buy a red one.

Nintendo is really testing my love for them lately.

Yeah it is kinda glossy-ish but it's not really a fingerprint and smudge magnet like Majora's Mask XL. We have both. ^^

I don't suppose anybody thinks there's any chance at all of Nintendo getting around to adding c-stick support to older games? It's a shame really as it would work really well with a few older games including Ocarina of Time. :(

Should I just go ahead and download Majora's Mask and start playing it on my old 3DS XL and then just transfer it once I'm able to snag the n3DS? Can I trust the transfer process to not completely fuck up my game save?

Hopefully they make a rubberized grip for this thing like they did for the 3DS XL. Not a fan of the glossy finish. I wish they had done something similar like they did with the DSi XL and had a glossy finish on the top and a matte finish on the bottom. Glossy just makes it uncomfortable to hold for long gaming sessions.

I've done like 4 or 5 transfers so far and have never lost anything in the process. I have a lot of digital games too. As long as you know what you're doing you'll be fine

Got mine this morning, loving it. The 3D effect is better than in the OG, the colors are more vivid, it fits fine in my hand, and the PPI doesn't bother me at all.

I did strip a screw after I finished the transfer though. I may/may not have been cursing Nintendo's name as I barely got my console open enough on one side to put in my microSD card w/saves etc on it. One of the screws came up easily but the other one wouldn't even budge with the same screwdriver. Weird.

Anyways, Can't wait to mess with it some more when I get the time.

It's actually kind of bizarre to have the 3d completely stick while playing, I had gotten so used to losing it here and there...this is cool :)

I wouldn't worry about the system transfer process at all. Mine actually failed the first time through because I lost my wifi connection right at the end..I thought I lost everything but I just turned off both systems and started again, everything is there now and everything works.

Could order one online right now and pick up after work at BestBuy but I want to see the red and black ij person. Hope I don't get screwed... 3 hours to go.

Yeah, first time ever I'm not turning 3D off after a while. It's really weird when you don't have to keep your head and hands completely still to maintain 3D. It's like magic.
