Looks better in motion. This game has been growing on me, i'm pretty psyched for this.

This and infamous will make for a brutal combo.

What is with developers and their desire to ruin visuals by incorporating huge worlds? Someone needs to do the opposite - a game with insane visuals due to its incredibly small environments (corridor shooter?).

It's always a weird feeling when you open a thread and for a moment your brain questions what console the game is for.

And a moment later you reason that the resolution of the shots means it's for the 360 and/or PS3.

Why do some people expect these very large sandbox games to have Gears/COD4 graphics?

I think it's common sense... then again since most of these posts are about games no one has played yet, I imagine it's kind of hard to find something to thumb your noses at. gj though. :D

like i said, the game looks great in motion. there is a moment in the first twenty seconds or so of that trailer when the main character is running up the side of a tank and flips sideways off it that made my jaw drop.

Looks fine to me. You people want too much. If it ain't 60 FPS with bump mapping and particles, not worth the attention. :lol

While it might not be the prettiest game, it does have this going for it which is very important.

4/ The demo you have showed us looks super-smooth! (So much happening on screen with zero slowdown!) How have you guys managed that?

Open world games are known for their iffy framerates, so if part of their goal is to lock the framerate down then i'm for whatever visual compromises they need to make.

Supposedly that's what Quantic Dream is doing with Heavy Rain: very small, very high-quality environments.

Game of the forever. Definitely not Game Screenshots of the Forever.

These guys are sort of experts at this though. And they are actually doing something with these huge worlds, so bugger off.

It's funny, this game is getting the same reactions Crackdown did when it was first shown off and that turned out to be awesome. Plus, these guys made the only good Hulk game ever and this is as close as we'll ever get to a sequel to that. Are you really going to notice that Unfortunate Bastard #427 has blocky fingers when you're summoning spikes out of the ground and impaling him?

Looks great in motion definately something I would pick up... if it has actually manageable controls and a good frame rate on release

They're doing exactly what everyone else is doing. Just Cause 2, Mercs 2, Infamous, etc. At least use a next generation graphics engine...

I love this a highly destructible sandbox game isn't pushing COD4 graphics so everyone has a hate fest. I'm sorry it isn't called GTA: Mutant City guys, maybe if it was it would be the best looking game ever.

I will hump this game. For an open world with a serious vertical as well as horizontal space, it looks fine -- especially in motion. The animation looks good, but hell, super-powers, free-running, AC-like climbing, and getting to blow shit up? Sold.

The Hulk: Ultimate Destruction looked a bit shit too, but it was barrels of fun. Predecessor of Crackdown, kind of. Only it had like fivehundredthousand different, mostly marvelous, moves.

I just hope this game won't take itself too seriously and rid itself of The Hulk's whacky fun.

Looks way better in motion and in all the other screens I've seen. IGN compression strikes again?

Perhaps they prize gameplay over visuals and their gameplay calls for open worlds? Regardless, those kinds of games are out there. (See: Uncharted and Gears, for example)

You guys really think this looks bad?

And unlike say, COD4 I bet this runs in 720p.

If the final game looks like that I don't care if it's 2560x1600.

watching the trailer makes it look a lot better. You can really see it still has that Incredible Hulk vibe in it...which is a good thing

We're comparing this to other open world games and not say, Uncharted, right?

Way to dig around for the worst possible screens of GTA4, a very nice looking game, to prove a silly point.
