Funny you say that. The first choice is italicized and the others aren't.

I don't think he should be banned. Did anyone REALLY think update 2.17 would have the most sought after feature? It was an obvious joke, or a reaction to one of the posts above his.

Not sure if someone came in to mention what was in the updates but I found something right off the bat. Loading up www.allps3themes.com always displayed the third theme from the top so I'd always have to scroll up to see the first two. Now it loads at the top.

I just discovered something. You know the little information bar in the XMB (which you probably disabled because you found it to be useless)? It now links directly to the Playstation Blog. If you click on the entry about the latest PS Store update and then press right on the d-pad again, you will immediately be taken to the corresponding post on the PS Blog.

Perhaps, the information bar will be more useful in the future. :D

I believe the update only makes it possible to load FFXI to the HDD without having to download that old PS2 Disk Image they had up on the PSN store. Not sure.

The Japanese site says its only a fix to play ps2 games that required hard drive installs, like FFXI

meaning i am have been sitting here for a good 10 minutes now and am only at 40% for something that in no way affects me just so i can get some pon pon pata pon. Everything but major updates should be completely optional.

Happens every firmware update, theres always one guy thats like "omg guys this was updated in the firmware." Then everyone else is like yea, a firmware update from a long time ago.

They fixed a big(?) hole in the 2.10 firmware, which enabled the (currently vaporware) i.load tool to run PS3 isos from an external USB HDD.

Unfortunately, only on a US system.

It should be linked to the region/country of the PSN account, not the hardware.

I'm sorry, but this is laughable. If this were in any way confirmed or legit,] it would have been on any of the big "scene" sites, which it's not.
