I haven't watched the trailer yet, but my only disappointment with the sequel is the lack of new characters.
they do have a CAW...you can create chars from scratch or edit any of the existing chars...not too sure about the moves thoLyte Edge said:I'd rather have a completely new CAW mode with original moves the other wrestlers don't have.

btu I agree with you, I bought RR for PS2, I had more fun with it than Smackdown...it's just more fun. I think...it's not a great game but it's a fun one. I'm sadly getting RRXX on day 1 :lol

Basically, Rumble Roses is a simplified version of the Smackdown! games from Yuke's. Similar game play; you use striking and grappling attacks, and depending on where you are in the ring and what directions you press, different moves will occur. You can also do running attacks, jump off the turnbuckle, and do various kinds of submission moves, weaking body parts (the more you target a specific area of the body, the weaker that part gets, making it harder to get out of the submission). Weapons can also be found outside the ring. You can counter grapplers and strikes, which is a bit too easy and I hope is being addressed in RRXX.
The difference between RR and a WWE wrestling game is that RR is more over-the-top. I'm not just talking about the obvious T n' A and character designs, but also in some of the moves that they do; it's less realistic, and because of it, much more fun IMO. The game is not as over-the-top as say, Ultimate Muscle, but somewhere inbetween a WWE wrassler and an Ultimate Muscle game.
I haven't watched the trailer yet, but my only disappointment with the sequel is the lack of new characters. If a Tekken Panda/Bear rip-off is all they're going with, that sucks. It's nice to be able to edit the characters; I'd rather have a completely new CAW mode with original moves the other wrestlers don't have. They need to focus a little more on the wrestling aspects of the game and less on trying to make it like a fighting game, I think.
ohhh I thought for sure you can create your own characters, and I went back to listen to the interviews, and yes you can only edit them....Bebpo said:You can't start from scratch so there is no CAW. You can only modify the existing characters.
$6.96 at Circuit City on clearance... YMMV, of course. The Take Out Bandit said:Oh yeah, RR is only $14.99 at Best Buy - so you whores got no excuses!![]()
Don't worry, I'm sure it will, thanks to the extra gameplay chip Sony is putting in the console. The Take Out Bandit said:So I really hope the PS3 version improves upon the core concept. TITTIES AND MUSCLES, GOOD! Now add a bit more robust game play. I know it's a wrestling game, but Tobal 2 had a better grappling engine.
The Take Out Bandit said:I dunno. I got bored with it two player.
The game engine is pretty basic, so it got to the point where I would tell my friend - "I'm going to do X, reverse it."
He'd ignore it.
Get pissed.
