wow. check out the "turf" sections on the maps. looks damn good!
the trailers under the "game features" section have 4 vids. julius is the guy from requiem and that scene is fucking awesome. click on the blood spots while in video mode to access 2 hidden trailers. Hopefully they clean up that framerate.

is Saints Row gonna be playable at E3? i would imagine it would, since its suppose to come out in August, but i heard only a video was gonna be shown

That "guy" is none other the Keith David.

He has done a tone of VO work in animation, games and even commercials. I'd post his resume but he's been in over 100 movies.

best thing about the trailer is that strangely enough, I don't get "omg GTA clone" vibes from it. The theme song probably helped with that

He is hysterical in "There's Something About Mary" as Mary's (Cameron Diaz) step-dad. I love when he is in the bathroom with Ted....

I've just watched the trailers, and from what I've seen, it looks like an average action orientate, urban inspired, free reign game...

Its not that im not interested, because I love the free flowing, free 'range' games, but that little site, just scared me...

and I hear THQ are publishing it...

THQ may be publishing, but Volition is developing - they have a pretty good track record (see Freespace)...

I just namesaked 'Volition' and it tells me they've made a few decent games...

Nothing spectacular (never played Freespace, so I dont want to comment), but a couple of healthy I.P's.

GAF, tell me what is different about this game?

Is it GTA on steroids?

While Red Faction 2 was pretty ho-hum, Freespace II was absolutely awesome. Never been much of a Decent fan and Summoner was pretty stupid imo. But, Saint's Row looks to be a fun game.

I always like a little wanton destruction now and then.

Requiem for a Dream was one weird movie... I dont not recommend it for the kids out there..

Back on topic: I am not sold on this game yet.. It seems like another GTA copy-cat. Lets hope they put in some innovative new features..

The biggest draws for me:

-great aiming system...much like Brute Force...a 3rd person FPS basically

-online play: Create and customize your character, create gangs, and make money (game money of course) while playing online. Use that money to pimp your car or yourself.

pretty much why I'm actually looking forward to it also. The Havok physics should be fun to mess around with also
