New trailer for Beyond: Two Souls - PS3's swan song?

That trailer alone looks better than Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain combined.
Then again, the beginning of Indigo Prophecy was sort-of-awesome, and the game turned out terrible, with laughable writing and horrendous memory minigames.
We'll see, I guess.

I can't wait to play this. Same with The Last of Us and if GT6 also comes this year... man, you have to admire Sony if you care about gaming on a console. Not to mention the service we have been getting in Europe with PS Plus.

I'm hyped, I also liked Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy.

Little Big Planet 3, The Last of Us, Beyond, Gran Turismo 6.

The weakest PS3 exclusive this year if you ask me. Heavy Rain was a terrible game and i can't expect much more from this one.

On the other hand, The Last of Us looks amazing.

Have fun with opinions.

Story looked like it got convoluted and fairly corny very quickly in this new trailer, presentation can only carry a poor story so far.

PS4 graphics

edit: Trailer says Only on Playstation. Not only on PS3 or whatever. PS4 confirmed

Yeah, i'm pretty sure that's what it means. I've never seen Sony end a trailer for one of their own games with that text. It's usually reserved for third party devs that are releasing their games across multiple PS platforms.

Trailer looked good and had great locale variety.

That's what I like about it too, sure there is screen tearing and I feel like the lesser people are animated a bit janky but damn it has a load of variety in the scenes, so I have NO idea where the story is going to take me, I just know it's gonna be a crazy ride.

I wonder if Cage will finally realize what his dream which fell short with HR.

The trailer looked mighty impressive. I'd go so far as to say that ND, while still taking the cake because of hand animating face and extremities, have been mightily challenged by QD in character design fidelity.

I like what i'm hearing, but artdirection wise and immersion wise (atmosphere, animation and graphics) they are running one gen behind on Naughty Dog imo.

Skimmed through the trailer but WOW.

People who hate Cage and his efforts really don't have to buy his games. No one is forcing down your throat. Its great to have variety. Not all games need to be childish gun porn. We have plenty of those.

You use a controller... The hell is going on with all these trolling?

Meh, even the GOTY of last year got much more hate, it was expected.

After 20 years, people still don't understand what an adventure game is.

PS3 still has it, good on Sony for keeping the lifeline going.

I'm the first who don't like Heavy Rain mechanics, this why I have avoid it but I don't understand why a lot of people continues to troll it when perfectly know what to expect to David Cage game.

Animal Crossing aside, this is the only 2013 game left I'm really looking forward to.

Even though I have a complicated love/hate relationship with Heavy Rain.

Jesus @ the graphics. The pace in the trailer is really something. Reaaally good. Im interested in ths story and characters already. Watching Ellen talk right now she is such a nice girl. And the last game she played was Crash Bandicoot :p

Presentation and trailer were awesome, game looks so good. I really liked HR and this looks 10x better.

Nextgen game from QD will be mind bending.

I loved Heavy Rain but I'll be the first to admit that it's not aged particularly well since release, there's definitely a lot of jank that holds it back from pure greatness, having said that, the best bits of the game are still fuckin' awesome. (The Lizard anybody?)

And I think that is the reason why people come in here a bit salty fellow GAFfer. I almost feel bad for them, must be sad to come and troll but I'm over it.

It has 'control the ghost' sections like Ghost Trick, where you can freely move around the environment. It's still Heavy Rain style at its core though.

The base game when you're controlling Jodie is also much more open. That section in the forest from last years E3 demo is open. There isn't a specific direction that you have to go in. That horse section is open as well (we got a glimpse of that in a studio tour). I believe Cage has said that the open nature of the game will be much easier to understand once you're playing it.

"DLC Scene when you preorder at gamestop"? I'm sorry I know it's a game and all but they sure do make it sound like a movie all the time

Looks cool though

Yep yep, I love everything I hear about the game but for some people it will never be good enough because it doesn't have conventional controls, it'll always be a movie. People are dumb lol.

Wow, I'm impressed by the trailer, coming from a huge Heavy Rain fan. When Beyond was initially announced, I wasn't too interested, because I didn't like the idea of there being some "supernatural" aspects to it.
The new trailer definitely piqued my interest for the game. Too bad I sold my Playstation over a year ago, and am now missing out on this and The Last of Us.

This is sounding better and better.

I loved Heavy Rain, but... The scene they showed from this game last E3, with the sheriff questioning Jodie and the SWAT team busting in, was so dull and painful in its writing. It's not like Heavy Rain had the most amazing writing, but at least its awkward bits were oddly endearing. Maybe the Beyond stuff last E3 just came off worse because the context was missing.

That being said, at least the way this trailer was edited, it looks very interesting. Shit, I'm going to end up preordering this, aren't I? LOL
