I’m trying to make sense of those as honestly, having a 12Tflops and a 4-6Tflops version kinda makes sense (4K and 1080p as well as most likely as significant price difference). But if Sony is 12 and 9, then what is the purpose of 9 as it is too close to 12 honestly and will most likely be almost the same price.

I don't develop games, but we do use MVS and yes, we've used the UWP for Unity compiling for Hololens before.

Should't developers had receive some form of devkit about this Lochart and PS4.5(. 5)? To give people high end machine and tell them "go nuts bois" so they go in their Dexter lab and throw all that RT shit, 4K 350 fps, ultra physics and I.A, then Phil and Cerny enters from the service door with a creepy smile and a shittier console like ".... but also this", like, really?
Not accusing anyone here, but now we are discussing about dual PS5, bet in one hundred pages some crazy dude will hint about PS5 fellatio capabilities, goddamn.

Xbox having 2 skus is bullshit and sucks and holds next gen back with a lower powered console, but PS5 having two is genius! Click here to read why!

but i just had an Idea while looking at Tommy Fishers Avatar..
can it be that he is Klee from resetera?? lol no cheap "black guys look all alike shit" involved. It just struck me..
Some other thing, there are those people that claim or suggest that sonys silence is caused by them knowing they have the weaker machine. And they therefore would not come out until they have games to show.
But i think that is not correct, simply because even IF they have the weaker machine - they could easily drop some Info Bits to keep the fire going without giving away that PS5 is inferior to Xbox X.
So i think the silence is not caused by them being worried, it must be something else.
Maybe its simply because all or some of their mayor showcases are not ready to show?

If true the situation is hella messy here, because it seems some developers have only the highend models and others also the low end, some developers seems even to completely ignore their existence.
So much for the "easiest console to develop for ever". Dunno.

That doesn't make sense. First of all, the XSX or hypothetical PS5 Pro are not going anywhere near $800. That is obscene in the console market.

More importantly, you claim that XSX = PS5 Pro, but that the Pro may not hit until 2022? Wouldn't a hypothetical 2022 console release be another leap in tech (albeit, small)?

It honestly feels like you're just throwing shit out there to get a reaction. It'd be great if you're right. But how much do you genuinely believe in your information or sources?

Dude it doesn't make sense MS shows a console & they know it's gonna be as high as $800 or even $700. I think alot of people find $500 is a bit too much for a console so how it's a $800??

Plus Sony will never ever sell a console higher than $500 & they know very well they will not release a console as low as a 9.2tf compared to SX that would affect their reputation imho. But if what you said is right & Sony only released one console at launch which is the 9.2tf one & after 2 years they released the more powerful one, they will get alot of backlash.

It's a very bad move imo.

I’ll just add that while I’ve heard the SX is slightly higher than the PS5 (10.5-11.5 vs SX@12tf, see my long post form earlier today) I haven’t heard anything about a pro release PS5 or multiple sku from Sony other than the old one before they changed course.

So not sure what to make of that, I don’t buy it myself. Of course they will be working on a pro upgrade, but it won’t be something feasible for a while. Hell, what would a pro upgrade even BE over a 12tf base console? 18tf? Good lord...

Imo if both consoles are around 12Tf (SX already is) then we don't need a mid gen upgrade. They did that with the current one because the base models released underpowered compared to what was available at that time, so a mid gen upgrade isn't necessary going next gen.

Wait. 2022? So the PS5 really is 9tfs? You can't count a PS5 pro that comes out 2 years later as a match for the launch X series. What's going on here? If this is real, then it really is 12 vs 9.

I'm a Pony, I'm hoping for at least 11TF PS5 (no 12TF Pro in 2 years).
I'm not sure if my previous comment made sense, but what I am trying to say is a 12TF Pro in 2 years makes no sense to me, matching something from 2020 in 2 years would be meh.

So possible for launch is (basic) PS5 for Sony with a possible simultaneous launch of PS5 Pro if everything goes right? MS will launch XSX and Lockhart at the same time for launch?
