Ni-Oh has 4 graphical modes on PS4 PRO (One of them is native 4K)

I think it's just saying that:

1) if you have a 4K TV, then these are the options available to you:

4k @ 30fps
1080p @ 60fps

2) if you have a HDTV then these options are available to you:

super sampled 1080p @ 30fps
1080p @ 60fps

I have a 4K TV, so I assume I should be playing option 1 of the 4K options? These options are somewhat confusing. If I choose option 2 of the 4K then all that's happening is it's 1080p mode in 60fps?

This seems awfully non-specific. Is the only difference between the 1080p modes the AA? Or is there also a difference in graphics quality or native res?

In the end I have the exact same doubts as before about Action Mode, lol.

Doesn't say native anywhere.

3480 x 2160 is native 4K Resolution.

What's on OG PS4?
-Movie mode at 1080p/30fps
-Action mode at 900p/60fps

Is that right?

Judging from that slide, they got action mode on OG PS4 up to 1080p. Will probably sacrifice AA though.

4k with 1080p - this is so confusing and misleading.

What is misleading about it? The slide specifically states that the PS4 Pro will be 4k 30fps in Movie Mode and 1080p 60fps in Action mode.

I did. 1920x1080 is not 4k.

I think they meant if you have 4K TV. You can play the game in either native 4K at 30 FPS or in 1080p at 60 FPS.

3840×2160@30fps is a native 4K mode to me.

Precisely!

I would read the 4k column as:

-4k movie mode: true 4k
-4k action mode: 4k upscaled from 1080p

Is it really possible a game like nioh in true 4k though?

Sounds much better than I had expected. I wish more games had such modes for pro owners with 1080p TVs.

I'd rather opt for the 60 fps goodness but I'm glad console players are finally getting a choice, for whatever reason whenever game graphic options were discussed for console, a good portion of console players didn't like the idea of it at all.

As has been mentioned, they state it's 3480 x 2160. That's native 4k. So unless they're lying, I don't see why not. Nioh is a great looking game but it's certainly not pushing any graphical boundaries.

They explicitely wrote 3840 x 2160 under the label of 4K just like how they wrote 1920 x1080.

GT Sport had the 4K label but they wrote 1800p checkerboard.

If they mean something else then it is their problem of communication. They should correct it then.

You're good man.

If ps4 can hit 1080p60 in this game 4k30 native should be achievable on the pro with power to spare for some settings bump.

Will there be another Alpha/Beta/whatever it's called? I'll give it a proper whirl next time. Really feel like I should buy it and support the devs.
