Recently a vast amount of Nicalis teases have become retail products so I'm very curious to what this new 3D render of Quote could be. It's very different to the one seen in Cave Story 3D which leads me to think three things:

1. Sequel?
2. Another 3D Remake?
3. Cameo in upcoming game, possibly Brawlout? We did afterall have this a few days ago matching the visual style:

Anyway this is up for speculation! I'm probably going with Quote in Brawlout but a sequel would be nuts, especially seeming as they've been developing new Cave Story content for the Switch version.

Wow, huh. You could have asked me to come up with 5-10 different "detailed" versions of Quote and I don't think I ever would have gotten anything remotely close to that. Not uh.. not feeling it.

I am, however, really feelin Cave Story+. First time playing it and I just got to the.. I think the Badlands? (Tumbleseed distracted me so I can't remember) but whatever the 3rd world is. Super interesting and fun, I don't think I've ever played anything like this

Keep going man! Cave Story is one of my favourite games It's not too long but you'll want to go back to find the many secrets.

The video is way more animated than anything from Cave Story 3D. It seems like something entirely new.

I hated the aesthetic going into it, but came to enjoy it after playing for awhile. I certainly prefer the 2D art, but I gained a new appreciation for some of the levels after seeing the environments fleshed out in greater detail.

Nonetheless, the model from the OP is sporting the "Dreamworks face" and looks like an extra from The Emoji Movie or something. No thanks.
