I have a an issue with the "Afternoon of Darkness" interpretation, because to be strictly correct there it would have to represent the entire afternoon, not just one point within it.
Time's Hollow is probably the closest I've seen to a reasonable interpretation of the clue, but I would imagine it would make more sense presented as outline figures, rather than inverted text.
