There is no way the new Zelda game is coming out on Wii U.
It will come out for the Wii U. -_-

LOL, you'll be shock.
So those that bought a Wii U, are you happy with what you got? Are you happy with the 4 year production cycle of the console?
I don't get why people think that, now that Wii U's production is stopping, Zelda can't still come on Wii U (alongside the NX version, of course)...seriously?

That confirmed rumour already confirmed Wii U/ NX multiplatform Zelda. This confirms NX Zelda.

Nintendo literally reconfirmed last November that the next Zelda game is Wii U-bound. At most, it'll be a cross-gen release. Hell, Trev's source even confirmed a cross-gen release.I don't believe it will. That's just my guess though. Production is ended. There aren't that many WiiUs out there, and if they want to make a new Zelda game to make a splash, I'm not sure why they would hold it back with hardware that is a little better than systems that came out 10 years ago.
If I was Nintendo, I would have already moved over every major project outside of remakes etc to development for their new system. The WiiU has been a lost cause.

Wii mini was a new model of a successful console though.

I imagine NX is going to play Wii U games if they are doing this.
It launched on November 18, 2012.
Presumably it's ending around that time, 2016.
So four years.
As of today, we have no reason to assume that the NX will be the second exception to the diminishing console-over-console sales rule that Nintendo has been subject to.Come on, NX can't sell any worse than Wii U, surely. lol.

RIP Wii U. Compared to the 3ds, I played less games, but I have more favorites.
wow, no way
Wii U had the shortest tail of any Nintendo console to date. Can you even call that a tail?
edit: It's normal to stop production this early?

Yes, absolutely. There was more than enough great games for me to be happy about my purchase.
They have been manufacturing these all the time. In Japan, they are having stock problems due to production not meeting demand (both quite small though).I feel like they haven't manufactured any of these in years.

Yeah, it's less likely for that to happen this time around, but you still have grandparents and people behind the times who just wanna play mario kart or wii sports or something. Especially if NX is priced like a brand new console, a ~$150 Wii U mini is more appealing if all you wanna do is play 'mario' stuff.
Again, unlikely, but still a possibility.
Nx will have BC for sure.
Yep. Might as well.Might as well move on. There's no incentive to keep people on the Wii U given there's no third party support to get license fees from.
