I guess this settles the competitive gamers are athletes debate. Real athletes would never get banned for life for simple shit like this.

I cant take anyone serious that just streams themselves playing games and makes a insane amount of money. He nor any streamer is special and exempt from the rest of us.

Basically according to him all I need to do is stream while I'm cheating and I'm good to go.

Content Creators should be more creative. I mean earn your title. Sitting there recording videos of you and your buds goofing off and pissing other players off? that's what you call content?

I reckon... Without trying to be rude to anyone who plays fortnite heavily, that anyone who gets banned from an addictive game should pretty much be grateful for the forced disconnect, and anyone who is still addicted to the game should quietly let him be and get on with their self destructive gaming~

I developed this opinion when i exchanged a monthly subscription code for a mechanohog on my grand old wow account in WotLK and got permabanned~

Says the dude with millions in his pocket...sure, we'll make you exempt to make more money.

Idiot....

Probably him as he says it.

This streamer is seeking validation. His comments reek of insecurity. "Hey, what we do is important! Really! I'm a professional!" Basically, he is trying to convince himself and is projecting that.

Reminds me of how superhero/Star Wars fans need validation for liking products made for kids by telling you how "dark" and "adult" their themes are or whatever. Just admit you're a dork and own it, man. Otherwise you're gonna sound like a babyback bitch.

I agree with others who have said that the exact opposite should be the case: Streamers should be held to a higher standard than Joe Average game player. They're making money on someone else's IP and their behavior ends up emulated or celebrated. Cheating alone is worthy of a suspension or ban (depending on game and offense) but streaming in front of an audience knowing that the audience will use that as a tacit approval of using cheats themselves? Fuck that. The lifetime ban is more than justified.

I don't hate Nina like a lot of people but he is off his rocker on this one. Cheating is cheating regardless of whether you are a "content creator." Pffffftt.... 🤮

Doesn't matter who you are. Break the rules, receive a punishment. In this case, a permanent ban. I don't agree with Ninja here at all.

One of the best and most consistent traits that a creator has that connects them with the entirety of their audience is the intrinsic feeling of a shared beginning or at the very least a shared idea that a passion can elevate someone. That feeling of connection and hopefully a reminder that anyone can do well is important and randomly throwing up ideas and rules of being special completely negates it.

It's 2019, who hasn't read a story like this?
A lifetime ban seems fair to me. How do you seriously not know the risks by the tail end of 2019? How? This is your life, how you make money, HOW?

Get off your 20 million dollar high horse Ninja. It's a moronic double standard.

I mean I believe in capitalism, competition, markets etc. and hate socialist democrats BUT when they yell that we should repossess all the money held by the wealthy I ain’t gonna shed any tears if that happened to StReAmErS and InFlUeNCeRs.

So go fuck yourself mr Ninja.

Also, the gamer quoted here is an insufferable elitist, which speaks to have quickly pro gaming has become a huge deal in the last few years.. only people who are pioneering new financial territories have sufficient lack of moral waypoints to run themselves down a narcissistic rabbit hole like this guy.. this guy is a yuppie... He's the Patrick Bateman of gamers.

Maybe cops shouldn’t be charged the same for crimes like the common folk. Hell famous actors too.

We have enough of that bullshit in real life. You were dumb enough? Swallow that ban and carry on.

Well there are still people dumb enough to do this ...

Banned Brit Fortnite player FaZe Jarvis ‘made £20,000 from YouTube apology video’
Jarvis Kaye - known as FaZe Jarvis - has had to issue a grovelling apology to his two million fans on YouTube.
A British teenager made £20,000 from his apology video in which he grovels to fans after his Fortnite ban for cheating.

But in a tearful apology video, the teenager claims he was unaware his use of "aimbots" was forbidden.

Now it has emerged Jarvis made £20,000 from this video alone, on top of further revenue made by playing the game .

Face of a self-entitled cheater.

Yeah, taxi, bus, truck or any other professional drivers should be exempted from traffic offense penalties as well... right?

He has a point about the punishment being far more harmful to a streamer, but that's really something that should have been worded differently, if at all. Nobody ever wants to hear someone make the argument, "the rules should apply to everyone else, but not us."

Not only should they be banned, their punishment should be more severe than normal players, since they might bring bad PR for the games they play.

Shut up, Richard. You make millions of dollars doing nothing other than sitting on your ass, while bitching and moaning behind your keyboard and monitor(s).

this cheating idiot is crying due to lost revenue.

most of these "content creators" are shit hole and when they get "exposed" they disappear for a year. I think that is the normal protocol.

Remember that fat marshmallow Irani guy (apparently who had stats on majority of Black people committing crimes) who looks white and was suppose to voice a character in Yooka Lalee ... he is also back after his break and is making making videos and making $$$

There are some equity laws that may be preventing different punishments for stupid people though.

I think Ninja's pretty level-headed about stuff like this, but I don't agree with him here. You're not special because you're in FaZe clan. Sorry.
This.
If you are making this your living then you should care enough to actually read the fucking rules. If not then you deserve to get it taken away from you.

Remove fortnite and Ninja's career peak in life would be fast food or general retail store employee.

Not really the type of person you take any advice from.

Streamers ruin gaming. And have ruined it in a big way. There are some really good streamers that would be successful in many careers, but a majority of them were just basement dwellers living with mom with no money trying to make some money doing nothing and playing games. Works for some, and not for most.

Last person that should be giving advice is someone with blue hair who takes dumps on his stream and his audiance age level is 13 and under.

I think all streamers that use cheats online deserve insta-bans for life. I don't care it it's their "job". You make stupid decisions at a 9-5 job, you get fired, same rules should apply. It just shows the kids watching how much "fun" cheats are and promotes that garbage to a very impressionable audience.
