The machine is $500. The original was $300. They're burning through the enthusiasts and will hit a wall until they're back to around $300.

300 isn't happening but i could see a 399 price point and maybe 350 for a Light model.

Or just wait for Sony to release their $800 PS6.

Not going to matter. If people perceive the Switch as too expensive an even more expensive PS6 is not going to change that even one bit.

Nintendo should really make sure that GTA VI releases Day one on Switch 2, that would boost the sales indefinitely. I would buy a Switch 2 just for GTA VI.

GTA isn't going to sell Switches, Pokémon, Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Splatoon and others will. Problem is, these games take time.

I mean i don't even doubt that a GTA port on Switch would do respectable numbers. But it's nothing that really pushes the platform.

Nobody gives a crap about gta on the switch 2. They have no dedicated mario or zelda which are titles they have always needed near launch to sell hardware as whats there now is only ok and not up to their usual quality.

I give a crap because the PS5 doesn't appeal to me as i have a PC for all those games (and i'm not really interested in PS5 games)
But GTA VI on Switch 2 would solve all my problems since i wanna pick up a Switch 2 anyways but that will not happening if i have to buy a PS5 just to play GTA VI.

They need to release theirr bangers and the stuff we ask for. 3D mario, 3D traditional zelda, new full fledged pokemon game with all the features. (No taking features out that should be main staples of the series. And if they do ports and remasters do the ones people want. Yoshi wooly world instead of whatever that new yoshi game is. Punchout switch 2 and go get mike tyson on board to be in it again. He is rehabilitated. Nintendo just is really to full of themselves these days. Also get rid of game key cards. Also games should not be 80 dollars on switch 2.

Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, and Metroid were their bangers, I don't think they have any major "Core AAA's" for years (plural) to come. Their core teams been been making Bonanza and Mario Kart this whole time and the Zelda team took over 6 years to release an expansion pack reusing 95% of BotW's assets/engine. Zelda Switch 2 will take 8-10 years minimum and be a forever delayed like GTA6. 3D Mario probably didn't start in earnest until Bonanza was complete.

Seems to be a very different audience compared to what they had on the DS. Iirc the GTA Trilogy was a big hit for T2 on the Switch.

I love the game, i also have a DS copy and i'm playing it regularly on the PSP Emulator.
I would love a successor to the game, really.

Mario Kart World kinda not delivering is what sealed the deal. Add to the fact no traditional Mario, no new mainline Zelda post Botw era.

This is amazing. Nintendo's chief said they had lower than expected sales in the West… Nintendo fans's reaction: "F'ing Ponies !!!! Come in the NPD sales thread if you have the guts!!!! Come on!!!!!!!".

Putting the strong launch aside, a weak holiday is a weak holiday. Not good, Nintendo rarely loses the holiday.

They need some fight, new AAA first party Mario or Zelda this year and perhaps a little price cut.

Yeah and switch 2 will be drowned out by all these bangers that are coming to PlayStation, pc and xbox only. Capcom the only one wasting time porting games like re9 and pragmata. Those games would have been out already if they weren't trying to soften the blow nintendo is receiving this year from lack of bangers.
