Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Doug Bowser and Bill Trenen during Treehouse re-iterated, this is not DLC, it's a full sequel.

Assuming they re-use a bunch of BOTW assets, you think they could turn it around quickly (by end of 2020)? If it's 4+ years off they may as well target Switch 2 or whatever.

Hmm. Only way I’d be happy with this is if they do a time jump and everything is rebuilt, with large exploreable towns. Make it feel fresh and new.

there is going to be another new Zelda in 3 months! then this maybe next year, definitely by 2021.

not bad for a console to have 3 Zelda games.

Breath of the Wild but with better dungeons / towns / story could bring it up to Okami tier.

This is what I was hoping for.

I just realized if they're reusing assets this might be really creative otherwise, the only game they did this with was majora.
Screw it, I'd love a Zelda Maker ... even if it was Zelda 1 or Zelda LTTP SNES style graphics. Let people make dungeons etc.

I'm super curious as to what the heck is happening in the teaser. Is the undead (redead?) Monk the cause of the calamity? What is with the cave and green creepy magic? How long is this after BOTW? Should we expect basically the same overworld? Teaser breakdown can't happen fast enough.

They have the game engine ready to go, the land of Hyrule is already mostly built. Tey've likely been working on this since before BotW's official release. I'd bet this is coming out way sooner than people think. I'm thinking 2021.

Gives me majora's mask vibes. Also hope it releases quick. but honestly i got the feeling it's going to take forever to get released.

I dont think the game is as far away as we believe.
It looked like they will keep the world layout BotW introduced, so they don't need to rebuild the landscape.
I could imagine them adding settlements and villages. A rebuilt castle town and castle. Slightly reshaped areas. New dungeons.
But that all shouldn't take that long. I could imagine a Holiday 2020 or Spring 2021 release.

What if, and stick with me for a minute, we got to Termina too?
