I wish they went with a smaller bottom screen with the buttons and stick positioned each side of it so they could cut off alot of the excess plastic, it would resemble the original gameboy a bit rather than a tacky tablet made up of a couple of mobile phone screens fitted on to whatever bits of plastic they had laying about.

The look of it is the only thing putting me off, price is great.

Has someone done a tear down of the 2DS yet to determine whether or not it uses 1 screen or 2?

Anyone have impression. Is it comfy and not crampy when holding. How is the built quality. Does it feel cheap and will fall apart in a few days. Anything wring with the screen. Does it look scratch prone. Moreao than the 3ds. Tempted to pick up the red. Hopefully best buy have it set up so I cab try though

You mean, if it has a Wii U gamepad screen turned vertically with fake borders? That would probably be more cost effective than buying two separate smaller screens...

Gotcha, so I just sat my 3DS and Gamepad side by side... The Gamepad screen is almost exactly the right size to be used for this...
