Puddle review embargo lifts on Thursday morning. So I guess the game may release this week. Don't know if that was known.

They review embargoed a game that has been out in Europe for U for months? But yeah it's supposed to be out Thurs, according to a Miiverse developer post. May not have been mentioned on GAF, though.

The Japanese eshop webpage normally updates every Wednesday at noon with the VC games available the following week, but today there has been no update thus far (it's a bit past 2pm, Tokyo time). Strange. Maybe next week will be the first week with no VC games released on the 3DS in Japan? I was hoping for something nice like DQIII or DQI/II for the GBC, to coincide with the release of DQVII next week.

Would it seriously be the first week without a VC game in Japan?

You guys have it too good over there. Not to mention you guys are also getting Earthbound (for 30¥) :'(

Nevermind about this, they updated the site. Japan 3DS VC is getting the following on 2/6:

Arliel: Crystal Densetsu (Game Gear) - 300 yen
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/eshop/vc/ganj/index.html
Double Dragon (Famicom) - 500 yen
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/eshop/vc/tbyj/index.html

Fuck yeah, Arliel is awesome! Bring on Sylvan Tale next, M2.

Never heard of Arliel before. I saw the page first thing and wondered whether it was The Sword of Hayla which I've probably spelt incredibly wrong since I've no time to google. Even so, 300 yen is the most amazing price point (I guess equivalent to £2.59).

Thanks for that hongcha, I'm ultimately buying all future Game Gear titles as hopefully the incentive that the sales will lead to more titles! Really chuffed that Space Harrier is finally coming to the West. Just hoping people support it and we see more 3D Classics. Sega literally are the kings of emulation today.

You mean M2.
I heard on Red Sun Gamer that they hacked in the level that was only present in the arcade and went as far as to sample the arcade chair for sound effects so that when you choose the mode that tilts the screen you have an experience as close to the arcade as possible.

That's Crystal Warriors in the US, which is a vaguely Fire Emblem-like SRPG with character recruiting and elemental advantage circle (water does well against fire characters, etc.). I've been impatiently waiting for Sega to release it so I can give it another try.

What the hell am I missing?!

Edit: Got it. After staring at it for about 15 minutes. The first time a 10x10 has given me grief? Maybe.

Where are my god damn GBA games on 3DS? Golden Sun!?!?!?!?!?

This is my biggest issue with the 3DS at the moment. Alot of people assume that since GBA is going on the Wii U virtual console that it won't hit the 3DS virtual console as well. I really hope they're wrong someday.

Gonna start a new thread tonight so the discussions around tomorrow's releases don't get split.

So what did you do? Because I don't see it. And now I wish they would finally release Picross e in the US.

You can cross out the 8th pixel in the 6th row (4 1). The 7th pixel is either the fourth in the row or a single pixel, and either way there can't be a pixel next to it on the right side, which means you can fill in the entire column of 4 above it, from there it should be easy enough to continue.

Guess and reload! That's the champion's way.

You are an awful human being. You NEVER guess in Picross!

I'm curious - Is Darksiders 2 still on the eShop or was it removed due to the bankruptcy? It’s still on steam

I'm thinking about picking a Wii U up this week and would like to download it

Jan. 31, 2013

This week's Nintendo Download includes the following featured content:

Nintendo eShop on Wii U
Puddle – Winner at the Independent Games Festival 2010, Puddle is a game that finds players guiding a puddle of fluid through 49 challenging and diverse levels by tilting the environment left or right. Players must also take into account friction, gravity and temperature, and use various types of liquids to navigate the unique environments that include burning passageways, carnivorous plants and electric currents.

The Cave – Demo Version – The Cave is a new adventure game from Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion creator Ron Gilbert and Double Fine Productions, the award-winning studio behind Psychonauts and Brütal Legend. Assemble your team of three from seven unlikely adventurers, each with his or her own unique personality and story. Descend into mysterious depths to explore many different locations, including a subterranean amusement park and a medieval castle, not to mention a fully armed and ready-to-launch nuclear-tipped ICBM. The Cave awaits.

Fire Emblem Awakening – Lead an army of knights, mages, archers and other classes into battle to defend a fantasy world teetering on the brink of war. In addition to video games available at retail stores, Nintendo also offers a variety of content that people can download directly to their systems. Nintendo adds new titles weekly to the Nintendo eShop for the Wii U system as well as the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL systems, to the Nintendo DSi Shop for the Nintendo DSi system and to the Wii Shop Channel for the Wii console.

The Nintendo eShop is a cash-based service and features games, applications and videos. Users can add money to their account balance by using a credit card or by purchasing a Nintendo Prepaid Card at a retail store and entering the code from the card. All funds from one card must be redeemed in either the Wii U eShop or the Nintendo 3DS eShop, respectively. They are not transferable and cannot be divided between the two systems.

The Wii Shop Channel offers games and applications and uses Wii Points, which can be purchased via the Wii Shop Channel. The Nintendo DSi Shop offers games and applications and uses Nintendo DSi Points, which can be purchased in the Nintendo DSi Shop. A Wii Points Card and Nintendo DSi Points Card can be purchased at retail locations. All points from one card must be redeemed in either the Wii Shop Channel or the Nintendo DSi Shop, respectively. They are not transferable and cannot be divided between the two systems.

Remember that Wii U, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL and Nintendo DSi feature parental controls that let adults manage some of the content their children can access. For more information about this and other features, visit http://www.nintendo.com/wiiu, http://www.nintendo.com/wii, http://www.nintendo.com/3ds or http://www.nintendo.com/ds.
