Even though I have the PSP remake and I have played the original numerous times, I am going to get Final Fantasy just to have access to the original again as I don’t have a NES anymore.

Looks like we have the first DSi 1000 point game in the form of Thorium Wars.

I hope EU gets Final Fantasy soon :D

Good week for FF fans, bad week for everyone else. Was hoping we'd see at least Pilotwings. How long has it been since we got a SNES game?

Plinko

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
I want Super Mario Kart :(

Can someone give me a grammar lesson on why it would be an rather than a (an sounds odd in my head)

I knew Nintendo should have advertised Star Wars month a tad better (
hint: the SNES Super Star War series
)

"an" if you call it "N-E-S"
"a" if you call it "ness"

from what i've seen (my own limited look), a lot of americans call it N-E-S, while UKers and the like mostly seem to call it "ness"

obviously there will be some exceptions, of course.

me? I use "N-E-S". However, back when the SNES game out, the SNES was "super nintendo" and the NES was "regular nintendo"

I'm left not even sure what kind of game it is...
glancing at it at first, it sounded like it was some sort of tower defense game, but looking closer, and at screenshots, it's a FPS of sorts? Looks/sounds like of like it might play something like Descent

That's right. Totally forgot about Super Star Wars, which is kind of a cool addition. Too bad it's hard as balls. I'd like to see something really obscure like Faceball 2000.

Eh, nothing worth the risk of a 4.2 update.

Still waiting for Cave Story/La Mulana/Castlevania Rebirth.

Not gonna happen. Published by Bulletproof Software, who folded and became Blue Planet, who just take care of Tetris-related stuff now. You can also write off Twisted Tales of Spike McFang for the same reason.

Hilarious, given that when Nintendo announced the service they accentuated that the pricing tiers were free / 200 / 500 / 800 and that each tier had clear meanings. If they're just going to do roll-the-dice pricing like WiiWare, why even bother to separate stuff by price?

It's not "Free/ 200/ 500/ 800" - it's "Free/ 200/ 500/ Premium". Even though all premium titles so far have been 800 points, it was obvious that there would be more expensive titles.

The U.S. shop calls it "800+".

Not really a fan of the tiers in general though. Always found them sort of silly, especially as the primary means of categorization.

Really? They always said premium was 800+, they just lacked games more than 800 which probably isn't a bad thing. Given the space restrictions I doubt the price can go much higher though.

There are some retail titles small enough for DSiWare, and some former retail games will hit DSiWare in the future, like Zombie BBQ. I would love to see DS-10+ on DSiWare for example, and I'd gladly pay more than 1000 points for that.

people calling the "NES" and "SNES" the "ness" and "sness" bother the shit out of me, for the record.
