Pretty much this, or Metroid Prime.

NOPEI predict 2.5D Zelda, think of the neutral camera position in Mario 3D World. It's not a secret that the demand is there for the style in OoT, TP and the Wii U tech demo. However since Aonuma mentioned multiplayer and after playing 3D World it makes the most sense to me. Unless he's talking about Galaxy's girlfriend mode or a mode separate from single player. There's X for those who want that type of experience, with customization, expansive & detailed fields to explore and a more "epic" adventure/storyline. I can see it go both ways and I don't mind either, but I'm hoping for a game that complements X instead of trying to be more like it. In other words I want a happy, whimsical puzzelda with a colorful artstyle and blocky geometry, think of the Pikmin minigame in Nintendo Land.
A 3D Metroid Game in the vein of Metroid Prime and I am way, way beyond satisfied.....

I want it to be more in the vein of the 2D games but in 3D (TPS) with Samus as an agile woman and not a tank

I will hold onto X and Bayonetta 2 like a mantra, but I am really looking to see if Nintendo has any intention of stopping their flush toward irrelevancy. They need to stop pandering to people who think five million games with Mario in it constitutes an acceptable lineup, because it's stifling their growth now.

How great Will Zelda U be? Anybody?

I just desperately want them to showcase new IPs and gameplay ideas. I'm so dreadfully tired of yet another genre with Mario in it or Samus in it or Donkey Kong in it or Link in it. I just want them to shoot for the stars, brand new bold IPs with big budgets and big marketing pushes. They've got nothing really to lose.

Wow, that's pretty much my nightmare Zelda. And the sad thing is I could see it happen. Really hope it doesn't.

It's not gonna be live, so it's automatically not gonna be on par with TP.
the only thing that would probably get a decent reaction would be the game twilight princess was supposed to be, where the world ends flooded.
If artstyle is dividing the fanbase..they are not in the fanbase to begin with.I think Zelda Wii U will get people really excited and will be very good. A Link Between Worlds was already a step in the right direction for the Zelda series. (Dungeons in any order, more emphasis on exploration.) And I think Zelda Wii U will continue on that step.
But the art style will divide the fanbase again.

Well, i made a bingo card and i advise everyone to make one too.
Just to explain a little bit: i think the digital event will be brilliant. It really will be "The one you have been waiting for"
But i also know Nintendo will spend "precious minutes" talking about games we already know more than we need to
We´ve seen this with pikmin 3
We´ve seen this with Tropical Freeze
We see this every direct with hours and hours spend on Professor Layton games that are all the same
We will see this with Mario kart 8, a game that appear every single nintendo event for the past year, just got a 38 minutes direct and will probably be, somehow, present on Nintendo Digital Event
Nintendo need to deliver with the Zelda trailer. It's been an long time since Nintendo unveiled a game with a bang. Their initial unveil trailers these days usually have quite dull music and show new basic elements of the game being used in an area which give nothing away.
For example the unveil trailers for Skyword Sword and Super Mario 3D World were damp squids compared to the Hollywood unveil of Twilight Princess. I want to feel a buzz right from the start again.

But that would mean no Metroid!

I know, right? Almost an entire year!
No more than Tropical Freeze just having coming out would.
That is, in the sense that a non-Retro Metroid could happen.

While I agree 100%, knowing Nintendo they won't be doing that. I'm tempted to buy a Wii U just for Mario Kart but part of me doesn't want to support Nintendo any longer until they start being more creative and risks with new franchises.
But that would mean no Metroid!

the tp reveal was something else, and the circumstances leading up to it aren't present here. the wii u isn't stigmatized as a bad kiddie console in a sea of good mature games (which are good because they are mature). everyone has accepted cel-shaded zelda as a thing and lots of people actually like it. people also aren't expecting a sequel to the wind waker like they were in 2004, and even then that was rumored. we know that there will be a zelda reveal this year. so no surprise factor either.

the tp reveal was really a perfect storm when it came to expectations. this is decidedly less so.
