I spend a lot of money on physical and digital games from Nintendo. I even buy the same game multiple times. Digital, then physical to truly own, and then I buy it for my niece and nephew as well. Because of this I get a lot of CN codes and I also receive CN codes from other friends and family.

Well apparently it's against Club Nintendo TOS to do this and they've shut down all my accounts which has over 12,000 Club Nintendo coins. I've had so many that I've been doing giveaways on here.

They are now removing games from my Wii U and 3DS

1. Closed down my Club Nintendo accounts
2. Removing games from my Wii U and 3DS

Dr. Luigi
Kirby's adventure
Metal torrent
Puzzle league express
Super Mario bros 2
Excitebike

To anyone I've given Club Nintendo digital rewards to; if they disappear from your system I'm terribly sorry =[

3DS games disappear while Wii U does the following:

It's nothing new, they've done this since 7th gen. It is against Club Nintendo ToS after all. This is one of the reasons why I tell people not to make linked fmaily accounts just to register multiples of a game, it's just asking for trouble.

Have you tried calling them to see what's up? They probably just think you are scamming CN codes somehow or something.

Damn, that sucks. Hopefully they don't just point you to the ToS and actually work with you on it.

There's something cranially corrosive about trying to wrap my head around Nintendo punishing you for buying too many copies of their games.

It has to be a misunderstanding. It just has to.

You need to get a lawyer and sue. They're stealing from you and you deserve compensation. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a different way to obtain it.

Knew a guy who worked at a local game store that would take the CN codes out of trade ins and punch them into his account. I'll never forget him bitching that he lost access to his account and those codes "weren't used, so they're fair game".

Not saying you ganked the codes OP, but your issue reminded me of the dude. Hope you can get it sorted. I know I'd be irritated if my codes came back to bite me in the ass.

Buying multiple copies of games and registering the codes on one account is against TOS?

Yeah, I am confuse too.
But I am not surprise since anything with Nintendo+Account System+Online mix together will not end well for the end user.

Though, it is pretty ironic that a loyal consumer is getting screwed over because he has money =/.

Maybe Nintendo thought it was something like that. Wouldn't surprise me that OP got flagged for that,

BTW, just looked up the TOS:

MISUSE OF CLUB NINTENDO.
You may not:

  • register more than once as a Club Nintendo member;
    [*]register the same Nintendo product more than once, unless expressly permitted by us;
  • register a product which was not lawfully purchased;
  • make use of Coins in any way other than for your own or members of your Family Account's personal use -- in particular, you may not sell, buy or auction Coins or transfer Coins to another account;
  • use or promote illicit technical aids in order to earn Coins, for example, to create, offer, distribute or use software programs or other means that create an automatic online interaction with Nintendo; or
  • sell rewards.

If we believe in our sole discretion that you misused Club Nintendo in any way, we may refuse the redemption of Coins and delete your Club Nintendo account, including the Coins you have earned.

Well, I'd recommend to explain well the situation to Nintendo's customer service first.
If it's against the ToS, you've made a mistake, but I think they will just take your coins and restore your games

hopefully

I feel like there's something here we don't know.

He's not telling his niece and nephew what Club Nintendo is?

"Ah, you don't need these slips of paper, I'll throw those away for you, at my house, after typing what they say into this web page. DON'T LOOK"

So he should lose access to purchased products because he broke Club Nintendo TOS?

Unless they're removing Club Nintendo download gifts. Which is a completely different issue, but still incredibly stupid.

Is this karma for always whining in Nintendo download threads? Possibly...

No, no. I'm kidding. Sorry.

Seriously though, I hope you can get this resolved, Team Top Hat. I know you broke the ToS, but they shouldn't be allowed to take away games like that.

This. Basically the only reason to start this thread is to use anti-Nintendo action, which should be bannable.

LOL....Are you being serious?
Who cares if he has 10000000000000000000 coins.
He has the money and supporting Nintendo.
LOL..bannable offensive...Yeah, okay.

But...i dont know about the US clubNintendo but the UK one only allows you to register each game only once. If you rebuy it and try to reigster, it refuses to let you.

Is that not the case in the US CN?
