Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa sees 92.04 % approval rating

Today, on July 1, 2019, the voting results of Proposal No. 2 (Election of Five Directors) of 79th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders was announced. The proposal was approved and resolved as originally proposed. The five candidates, Shuntaro Furukawa, Shigeru Miyamoto, Shinya Takahashi, Ko Shiota and Satoru Shibata were elected and assume office as Directors.

Shuntaro Furukawa assumed office as President of Nintendo on June 28, 2018, thus making the 79th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders his first time being voted for as President. Former Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima saw an approval rating of 87.14 % in his first year.
